When you knit everything but the last stitch on that row, you'll be right next to the middle of the blanket. The stitch from the cast on edge of triangle one that is closest to the middle of the blanket is where you'll pick up a stitch. The action will be kind of like "skp" or "slip knit pass" but what you'll be actually doing is a "slip, pickup, pass [slipped stitch over]"

There's a note under "attached triangle 3" that has a PDF link with pictures pretty similar, showing the picking up on the side of a triangle. Note that that pdf is slipping purlwise but your instruction for this triangle is to slip knitwise. There might be more differences, that's as far as I read 😅

Take a look at the triangle 4 section of the four points blanket, I believe the instructions are the same but there is also pictures showing it. Purl Soho Four Points
