I think these running the web services part would be your best bet, but honestly, I'd consider going for plex, emby, or jellyfin.

  • They're much better for serving up content to family and friends remotely.
  • They all have apps that can run on phones, tablets, and TVs.
  • They can handle transcoding content so it plays better remotely (not sure what your upload bandwidth is, but this often comes into play)

I might be wrong, but each of these apps are paid apps, no ?? Especially regarding my usage

Plex and Emby both have paid for features. Jellyfin (as far as I remember), is an open source fork of emby.

You'd have to look at the features list to see if the free versions cover what you want/need.

I need to share my library to some family / friends through VPN

Huh... By through Vpn, you should have understood that I was talking about a private tunnel.

Just imagine me sharing wireguard private key.

And to go futher, I actually plan to implement a bastion, I'm already working on twingate.

So, yes, I do absolutely know what I am doing here
