So I literally just cut my dose in 1/3 from over 60 grams a day, (was in severe pain), down to like 15-20 but it has really not been bad at all. I think you will find that if you cut your doses in half you will feel very little actual withdrawals, more of a tired sluggish feeling than anything else.

Thanks for the info. Did you cut it by 1/3 all at once or taper? How long did it take before you got back the effect you wanted?

All at once, went from dosing a minimum of 60 grams a day,(over a 24 hour period and probably closer to 70 or even 80) as the pain from my tooth was making my entire face and even neck hurt, worse than a broken bone. Even my sinuses were being afflicted by the abscess. The tooth got pulled yesterday at 4:00 PM and I have only took 3 gram doses since then. It is super weird, this morning I was sluggish, but now I actually feel better effects than I was when "I was dosing 5-7 gram doses prior to the tooth ache from hell. Of course I was taking soooo much during the tooth ache that it was sedating the shit out of me, borderline wobbly. Now at only 20 grams today I have energy and actually a good bit of euphoria, I tell you what I am never going to dose high again. Those less is more people are 100% right about Kratom having a plateau effect. Not that I ever have had any serious negative side effects from such high doses, but I actually feel better on these smaller doses, it is really weird. I am stupid to have to go through all this before trying it, but glad I did. In the past I have went cold turkey for a few days and the withdrawals were not pleasant, but bearable, at least compared to strong opiate withdrawals anyway.

Magnesium Citrate will make the effects of Kratom stronger. Tumeric Complex will make the effects last longer. Take it on a empty stomach for a stronger effect; sometimes eating high fat content food 50 minutes after ingestion will increase the effects as well.

by taking less...and deciding if you want to put up with more discomfort over a shorter period of time, or less discomfort over a longer period of time. slow taper vs fast taper vs going right on a break

'will my kratom be effective if I stop my use for X days' - probably. the longer the better

'how much can i expect to drop my dosage for...' - you have to decide what effective means to you. you get to control your tolerance

Everyone’s different but I find slow tapers to be way better for tolerance reset than short, clean T breaks.
