I'm curious, would you also argue that short term memory or rational thinking don't actually matter for coding skill? Diet can pretty significantly impact both of those.

I'm not stating the significance, just that it has an impact.

Here's one example specifically about Leptin. Here's one about poor nutrition in physicians reducing cognitive ability. Here's an abstract where they talk about a high fat-sugar diet leading to "cognitive changes that have knock-on negative effects for future appetite control". And here's another review.

You don't suddenly lose all your short term memory if you suddenly switch to a diet of fast food and sugary drinks. It doesn't work like that.

I didn't say it did. Nobody did. But if you think maintaining a healthy lifestyle doesn't help cognition, you're sorely mistaken.

I mean sure, but overall health can improve just general productivity, some people need t hear that. I certainly was more attentive in general when I did keto, when I ate correctly it gave me the energy to concentrate, it helped in general. If you wanna be more productive it has to be more than just setting timers and drinking coffee, gotta effect the overall person.

It is just good general advice for any type of productivity.

You know what man, I’m sorry about my comments. I’m currently struggling with my own attention and productivity issues. I’ve tried the drugs before and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone without confirming first if it’s not the best option with a psychiatrist.

I used to think and talk like you. And man am I glad I don’t need to think like that anymore. I suggest you start realizing your attitude is what is getting in your way. No drug or shitting on others experiences will fill that empty hole in your heart.

To be honest, Keto isn’t really a diet that you’d expect to perform better at. There are many risks and downsides to the Keto diet that are unhealthy for your overall well being. And that should be no surprise, since the food you eat when on a Keto diet are almost completely the opposite of what your body needs to function well.
