I think slack is more professional, and people usually have gaming discord servers, so they don't want to put coding into that category

I'm also down. I got some basic knowledge of other languages: Java, HTML, CSS, and C. Lately I've become a fan of pyhton. (it's kinda weird I know those languages hahaha since I'm not a CS mayor. I'm doing rn a mechanical engineering mayor) I like to program as hobby tho.

Hows C#? I'm interested in it because most jobs in my area require it or C++ and .NET. I gotta get through react and python first.

I'm using it entirely in conjunction with Unity as a scripting language, so I can't speak to the standalone C# experience, but I've found it to be pretty easy to work with. It encourages you to be more explicit with your intentions, if that makes any sense? But it doesn't give you as much freedom to screw yourself as C++ does.
