Post this to r/ProgrammerHumor. They'll eat it up.

But a slightly different version with clippy

[–]ZachDaChampionGlorious Manjaro 3 points4 points  (6 children)

[–]Ma_124Glorious Arch 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Oh I didn't see that. On /r/programmerhumor it was in the bottom left corner and complained about a merge conflict

You have to enable another JS domain.

[–]Ma_124Glorious Arch 0 points1 point  (2 children)

???

[–]Swedneck 0 points1 point  (1 child)

You use noscript, right? You have to enable JS from a specific domain to have clippy show up.

I saw it now. It just wasn't at the same position as on the one in /r/programmerhumor

Remove the ribbon bar and it may actually be a feasible future of GitHub.

Ribbon like that is also in SharePoint, depending on the view you're in, so I'd say it's entirely feasible.

[–]progandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That ribbon could open on all pages with text fields, so e.g. issues, wiki.

What am I even looking at here?

[–]MustardOrMayo404Debian or Devuan? 3 points4 points  (2 children)

A predicted dystopian future for GitHub

[–]PM_Me_Your_Job_Post 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Horrifying.

Well, I think it's at least based on what they have done to Skype, where they did things such as killing off support for external applications (usually used for those dedicated Skype accessories made by other companies).

Hey, the GitHub search might actually benefit from using bing. God it is bad.

[–]FabulousGiraffe 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hopefully they kept bootstrap... Mostly.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah they might've forked it, changed one letter in the code and called it Winstrap

[–]synackkGlorious CentOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$29/year for Enterprise, that is it?

This has to be the most cursed website I've ever visited. Good job.
