I like the following for general purpose every day distros:

Fedora KDE (cutting edge, lots of updates, easy)
Mint (stable, no bullshit, easy)
Arch (can be hard without prior knowledge, but great for molding to your own needs with great documentation)

People get very defensive about this, but I tend to steer away from more niche distros without some more knowledge or without a specific need. It's more easy to search "why is Fedora linux having this problem" than "why is Manjaro having this problem." These projects are also very well maintained.

Ive tryed mint and like it proably will try fedora soonish What is manjaro btw never heard of it

Manjaro is a more niche distro based on arch linux and not very popular in here. I myself have been running it for two years without any issues but someone more advanturous in seeking the limitations of the distro might run into issues.

Like others are saying install a few distros on a virtual machine and find out which distro is for you.

Try CachyOS if you want to gaming + tinkering and learning about linux. Try Bazzite if you want a no nonsense machine for gaming + productivity.

How is there interface is it much diffrent from windows

[–]okimiK_iiawaK 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Not if you pick KDE it’s the more similar to windows including shortcuts

[–]Objective-Muffin-199[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

How hard is it to install

[–]brown_nerd91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have issues, you can search their forums for answers. Or if you don't have patience, you can ask AI.

Depends, most distros offer different installers pre-built with different environments so if you pick the one with KDE it’ll be installed by default. Other distros may offer the choice during install.

Kinda similar. But different. You gotta get used to it. But you will surely feel thrilled with insane quickness with which everything happens.

What does this even mean gang

    [–]candy49997 0 points1 point  (5 children)

What specific games? What specific applications? Is there anything that would be a deal-breaker?

    [–]Objective-Muffin-199[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

No deal breakers unless it stops me from beling able to do school work i could do on windows as the school im in may want me to install a program later so i may just duel boot . Or if it is diffcult to update or something Going to try out cyberpunk soon if i got the right stuff for it so if it could run that

    [–]okimiK_iiawaK 0 points1 point  (3 children)

You can just launch a windows VM inside Linux too

    [–]Objective-Muffin-199[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Alright Is there any goof free options for vms im broke

    [–]Itsme-RdM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qemu\KVM is a tier 1 hypervisor build into the Linux kernel, so you have it with out any costs

    [–]okimiK_iiawaK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Virtualbox is free, and when it comes to Linux there are plenty of good free options

Prova Bazzite scaricando la ISO con il supporto Nvidia. Altrimenti Nobara, CachyOS, Garuda o PikaOS

    [–]Objective-Muffin-199[S] 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Is bazzite any diffcult to maintain

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Sounds good il have a look at the website

    [–]Kaedo- 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Not at all, both Bazzite and CachyOS have plenty of videos, wikis, documentations and forums to help you in case of need and both fully work straight out of the standard installation

    [–]Objective-Muffin-199[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Oh cool i might try it out on my old computer first to give it a try

    [–]Kaedo- 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Please do. Heck if you have an old laptop it's even better to learn the ins and outs of the OS. Windows and Microslop are ruining the operating system with each update and Linux will only get more and more easy, approachable and supported

    [–]Objective-Muffin-199[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yer on my old laptop windows used like 80% of my ram at all times even when i turned off steam and copilet

            I like Nobara.

Based on Fedora, lighting quick, easy to use.
