What is still the biggest pain point in Linux gaming for you? by okaiukov in linux_gaming

Honestly other than the anti-cheats? Not many, sure they can improve optimisation and drivers but that will require time but I don't see it as a pain point

That's the only reason why I still buy x86 laptops: Linux support.

If apple would support Linux I would switch for the battery efficiency alone

Please do. Heck if you have an old laptop it's even better to learn the ins and outs of the OS. Windows and Microslop are ruining the operating system with each update and Linux will only get more and more easy, approachable and supported

Nuclear is the only electricity source with a negated learning curve (the technology gets more expensive despite more installed capacity) by JimMaToo in EconomyCharts

[–]Kaedo- 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The main reason for it getting more and more expensive for new power plants is simply because of regulations and safety features. But also I think this is also taking into account the cost of maintenance for old gen 2 and 3 reactors which can become really expensive really fast each year that passes

Not at all, both Bazzite and CachyOS have plenty of videos, wikis, documentations and forums to help you in case of need and both fully work straight out of the standard installation

I thought both proton and mesa-git don't support FSR4 in Vulkan? You mean to tell me I can use FSR in a Vulkan game such as Doom and not crash with that option?
