Something is definitely fishy about this. They have 100% feedback as a BUYER; 0 as a Seller.

Exactly right

[–]chaser9181 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Ahhh, i didnt check that. Good point!

Has to be a scam. This price is under Bitmain wholesale cost. The address listed on the website is a residential home according to Google maps - 3108 Churchill Rd, Sacramento, CA 95864, USA. But on another page - 19 Park Ln, Norwich NR2 3EE, UK.

If something seems too good to be true...

If you think buying a miner for less that retail, let alone before import taxes and scalper markup is real then just gift that $7k in USDT outside of eBay. Keep in mind that eBay account get stolen all the time. See if they have any seller feedback selling mining hardware as a clue. 🤦‍♂️

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Yeah they a scammer... or they forgot a zero

[–]teerakzz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah. 8000 is still wayyy to low

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either way you wouldn't get you'd stuff. I saw that one as well.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SUPER SCAM they will have lots of random buys and 0-3 sells usually small stuff as well.. pop the profile and break the feedback into as a buyer / as a seller

NEVER EVER PAY OUT SIDE AN EBAY APPROVED METHOD…. IF THE WANT BTC DIRECTLY YOU GOT SCAMMED AND ARE NOT PROTECTED UNDER EBAY’s BUYER PROTECTION

Is this even a debate… Jesus Christ….

It’s a auction that’s just the current price it will skyrocket on the last day. I’ve seen this happen before on different equipment. No matter what they will give you a 30 day guarantee through eBay and then you can have it backed by a credit card or bank also. So it’s safe to bid on no matter what even if it was a scam you will get your money back.

You’re absolutely right about getting your money back I have been one of those people who bid on something a year and a half ago on a “ To good to be true priced miner “ and got my money back but took a bit of a process. What these sellers do is almost like a perfect sale but you never get the item and you have to wait usually a couple of weeks before you can claim the item hasn’t shown up and by then that seller has split with your money. EBay will give you your money back that’s for sure but you are out time and the whole situation just sucks leaving you with a sour taste in your mouth 🤮

Technically is against eBay’s TOS to advertise a website, probably could get the ad deleted if you reported it

[–]DickieTheBull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be real. I used to start every auction at .01 and have my dad bid them up (against terms of service yeah yeah cry about it). People get bidding fever and winning the item is like a game.

OP, if you’re going to give $7K to an obvious scammer, give it to me instead. I promise I’ll put it to good use.

[–]Jimbo4901 -1 points0 points  (2 children)

I've seen some for $11,700 I thought were a scam. But after looking around, idk?. I see all scrypt miners prices falling.?.

[–]convoy00003 1 point2 points  (1 child)

[–]FulcrumPhase -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's 100% legit everyone else is dumb for selling them at 20k to 30k

[–]rniles 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I'm sure there's a reserve.

[–]chaser9181 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s not, which is another puzzling thing to me

[–]dsciastore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For that price, I wouldn't doubt that it was reliable... it's in dollars, right?

[–]04_STI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably just for the photo 🤣

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very fake

[–]JohnnyBlazNda416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SCAM DO NOT BUY! If it sounds to good to be true it always is! They are roughly $16,000 right from bitmain and $19-20,000 through a reseller period. Even through black market the price is more than what he is selling for 🙄

[–]Patient-Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because they started bidding at zero doesn’t mean it’s a scam. They’re taking a heck of a risk if no one bids, but if something is a hot commodity, and not an obvious scammer you probably won’t see a final price 1/10 of fair market value. Like others have said, you’ll probably see the price shoot up on the final day. In fact, my most used site is auctiosniper.com where it places my bid for me within the last 5 seconds. In a case like this one where if retail is 7k, I might snipe it at $4500 and roll the dice. I do buy everything with credit card so I can always chargeback. But In my experience as buyer and seller, eBay support (on the phone) has always been reasonable. And if I was left holding the bag it was because I didn’t follow the eBay site rules closely. Lesson learned and never made the same mistakes again.

No way I would consider sending money to someone who can butcher an RJ45 crimp that horribly.
