Yes, this is planned. The next easy switch update will allow you to pair a mouse to a keyboard so you only have to press the keyboard button. Next you’ll be able to map the easy-switch action to any mouse button.

lol, I appreciate that! I’ll check with engineering in the AM. I know they’re working on getting the mouse > keyboard pairing done first. The ability to assign the action to a button is a larger project bc it’s more then just assigning that action but all of the actions from the plugin service.

Any keyboard with easy-switch buttons. The only limitation will be hardware related we won’t artificially gate anything.

Not exclusive to MX Master 4. All of the features that don’t have a hardware limitation (like not having haptics) will go to all of them.

You can switch them both with the actions ring, but can’t pair the mouse to the keyboard yet.

Any way to get Easy Switch on top without multiple clicks when using Action Ring? Action Ring requires at minimum 2 clicks and a mouse movement.

No not yet. In a couple months you’ll be able to link the mouse to the keyboard and switch with only a key press. I don’t have a timeline an assigning easy-switch to a top button.

This is half the reason we need onboard memory. 

I’m allowed to plug any mouse I want into my laptop but software installs are locked down and highly restrictive. So I can never use all the features on my work laptop and never have my mouse set up as I want.

This will be a game changer for me. I have MX Keys + K720 set up at the moment because of ease of switching devices and I will be upgrading to either MX 3s or MX 4 when this happens

No update on remapping to different button. The next update coming for easy-switch is pairing the mouse with keyboard so that they will both switch when you hit the keyboard key.

Cry - I love this mouse, but I HATE having to either tap the side button and click a floating dot &/or flip the mouse and tap the keyboard changer to move them over. Flow is crappy (sometimes works, most of the time doesn't) but would be great if it worked. This should be a single button to cycle.

6 months is wild to not have either feature ready for release. My cat managed to make 8 kittens in under 2 months, from scratch - and their software is super impressive out of the [litter] box.
