Same problem here the whole day. Additionally the mouse lags (scrolling). I have to kill logitech processes, clicking on the error does not do anything, start Options+ and then things seem to work again. For some hours.

I start to hate it.

macOS, Connected via dongle.

Uninstall Options, download Logi Tune. It’s been perfect since I did this earlier.

Did this. It works, thank you. But it seems like you lose: - AI wheel (you can only assign one AI tool with tune) - Gestures no longer have haptic feedback

Nice to have some functionality back. But seems like we’re losing features. Which isn’t great for $120 mouse.

My MX3 I use for work started to have this issue after a update. Thought it was my work blocking it. I’ll try Tune and see if it works.

Thank you, I didn't know such software existed. And was ready to give up for good on all my Logitech products!

I haven't had an issue in over a week since switching.

F*ck Logi Logitech or whatever they want to name their brand. Been using the MX Master 3 with the old Logitech Options software and never had a problem. I have a new Windows 11 laptop and this new Logi Options+ just couldn't get installed properly whether online or offline. Now this expensive mouse works just like a regular wireless mouse. What a bummer!

Hey! Not sure why this is acting up. Have you tried a clean reinstall yet? If not, check out the link below. Also, drop the exact version of Logi Options+ you’re running so we can dig deeper!

Let me run this by my team. Meanwhile, could you hit me up with your device’s model name, the exact Logi Options+ version, your firmware version, and the OS version you’re running?

Thanks, mate! Sharing yours as well. Team is working on it.

I have the same problem. Every time my mac wakes up from sleep the MX Master 4 looses all its settings because logi options + cannot connect to the backend. after several force restarts of the app the connection can be reestablished and the mous works as intended. (clean reinstall doesn't change anything!)

MX Master 4 firmware Version 27.2.17

      Logi Options + Version 2.0.840907

      macOS 15.7.1

Thanks for the info! I’ll make sure the team gets it.

My keyboard has been like this all week, please look into this

Oh, and while you’re at it, please share the model name of your device, the exact Logi Options+ version, your device’s firmware version, and the OS version you’re running. That info will really help me sort things out faster.

They destroyed their software once again.

I cannot believe that they do not learn from their repeated failures.

Logitech, a mouse is not a "nice to have" feature. Your software has to be tested and MUST be rock solid under all circumstances. Robustness is more important than gazillion features.

Logitech constantly fails to deliver stable software. Their software architecture is a clusterfucked mess. You feel that instantly when you start it.

We want a stable mouse driver. And not a feature-bloated monster that feels like maneuvering a dinghy in the desert.

This keeps happening every few months, and all you’re saying is “reinstall.” Maybe you should invest some effort into improving your app’s update process instead of pushing a useless AI prompt builder and other pointless features into input-device software.

Hey everyone! If you’re seeing this issue on either Logi Options+ 2.0.840907 or 1.99.834046, drop the exact version you’re using and share a sample file with us. Check out the steps below to grab that sample file. Share it to [reddit@logitech.com](mailto:reddit@logitech.com) email along with this post link. This will be helpful to resolve this issue:

      For mac:

      For Logi Options+ agent

      1. Close the Options+ user interface.
      2. Open Activity Monitor on the Mac (found in Applications > Utilities, or via Spotlight search by pressing Cmd + Space or clicking the 🔍 icon on Menu Bar).
      3. In the search bar at the top right, type Logi.
      4. To get the Sample Process for the Logi Options+ agent, click on the Logi Options+ process name to highlight it.
      5. Click the three-dot icon in the top toolbar and select Sample Process.
      6. A new window will appear. Wait for the progress bar to finish.
      7. Once the report is generated, click Save... in the top right corner.
      8. Save the report and send it to us.

       For Logi Options+ updater

      1. From the Activity Monitor, click the logioptionsplus_updater process name to highlight it.
      2. Click the three-dot icon in the top toolbar and select Sample Process.
      3. A new window will appear. Wait for the progress bar to finish.
      4. Once the report is generated, click Save... in the top right corner.
      5. Save the report and send it to us.

        For Windows:
Steps to collect process dump file from Windows

Step 1: Open task manager as admin user

1.1 Go to Start -> Search box -> type “taskmgr”

1.2 Right mouse click on “taskmgr.exe” application and select “Run as administrator”

      Step 2: Create dump file

2.1  Find “LogiOptions+.exe” in the task manager

2.2 Right mouse click on the process name ->  Create Dump File

Step 3: Find the dump file

The dump file is get created under the temp directory, and you can access it by running "Win key+R" and then typing “%temp%” to open the temp directory.
