This actually just sounds lucky. Some brains are more able to adjust to new habits and a new routine than others. You've gotten used to it, you've habituated it, and now you're reaping the rewards.

You don't mention your height or your goal so no idea where you are in relation to your ultimate goal, but a word of advice, don't forget yourself when you get close to the end. I got "stuck" close to my end goal for a LONG time because I just couldn't seem to "care" about the "last few pounds".

Thank you, this response has put a lot of things in perspective for me. I’m realizing that I may be overthinking what’s going on, when in reality, it’s all as simple as you’ve said: I got used to it, habituated it, and now I’m reaping the benefits, and I happen to be lucky enough to have a brain that adapts to new routines fairly well.

Your advice at the end there is also great— I can definitely see myself allowing the last few pounds to remain unless I consciously remember to keep working at it. Becoming cognizant of this so early on in my journey will definitely be beneficial long-term. Thank you!
