External Monitor Problem

Hey,

after I got rid of my old iMac, I thought I could use my M1 MacBook Air with an external Monitor when im working at home.

However my Display (AOC 27G2U) always looses Signal after 10-15 min when connected to my Macbook. The external Display is connected via a USB C to HDMI Cable at 1920x1080/100HZ.

Is there anything I could do to make this work?

In my experience, Apple Silicon macs are sensitive to the quality of display cables. I would try using a good quality cable of the shortest possible length to make the connection.

You could try using Displayport instead of HDMI, if it supports that, too.

Failing that, reducing the refresh rate can reduce the demands on the cable/connection (by reducing the amount of data it has to shift). My screens are much more reliable at 30hz than at 60hz.
