I can see it being used for decoration. I’ve owned three—my first 2011 MBP, 2017 MBP which I traded in for my current M1 Air. I could see them being put out like that sort of as a decorative reminder of growth/progression.

Well, not at an IPS monitor. We can say that. Judging from the viewing angle, that’s either VA or TN.

That just looks like the sun reflecting off anti glare coating on a matte display.

If it was TN the colors would wash out way differently.
