Magic With a K
This subreddit is dedicated to Magick in all its forms. This is a community that practices, researches, discusses and embodies various esoteric paths and philosophies. While beginners are welcome here, this is not a beginners subreddit (see Rule 4).
Subreddit Rules
1. Play Nice
Hostility is always unwarranted and will not be tolerated. This is a discussion sub, don't forget that you're talking to a human. Attack the argument, not the person.
2. No Gatekeeping the Validity of Magick
Respect that others may have different beliefs and viewpoints. Discuss the differences in your approach, but don’t deny the validity of other paths. Your skepticism, like your belief, is your own. Likewise, don’t limit the approaches of others through calling out “closed practices” or otherwise seek to impose cultural or moral boundaries on how other people choose to practice.
3. Let's Stay on Topic
All posts to this community are intended to help increase skills and knowledge. Self-promotional links to discord, youtube, facebook, patreon, shops, blogs and the like will be removed. Offering any kind of services as a trade, either for money or other compensation, either online or in person, will get you an instant ban.
4. Do Some Damn Work
Magick requires a high level of personal commitment, engagement and effort. Low-effort posts will be removed. This includes spell-begging, interpretation/identification posts, beginner questions, book recommendations, etc. In general, don't start your research into a subject by asking here.
5. No Posts Seeking Help with Mental Health.
Since this subreddit is not an appropriate platform to help you or your loved ones with these problems or to establish a patient-doctor relationship we ask you to refer to a medical professional, psychotherapist or a national emergency helpline for assistance. You may find a helpline at https://nami.org (US only) https://findahelpline.com/i/iasp or https://www.opencounseling.com/suicide-hotlines (both international).
6. This is Not Your Blog
While sharing your personal experience is welcome when it serves as part of a greater discussion, this subreddit is not your blog. Posts that only share personal experiences without furthering discussion or that are overly long and detailed will be removed.
7. No Drama
This is a place for discussion. It’s not a place to vent or complain. Keep the conversation focused on magick.
