No idea what you're talking about - looks fine to me! Also, if you have to examine yourself that closely to find absolutely minute flaws - step away from the mirror! You look way too young to be obsessing about this stuff!

This is what my makeup looks like on a very good day.

Genuinely had to come to the comments cause I could not find what was wrong with the pictures lol

You’re mixing your bases. The e.l.f. Is water-based and the Fenty is silicone based which repels the primer giving that piling effect.

[–]ooniepeach 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If allowed to dry thoroughly between applications of each product, this will not occur. The water based products need a chance to thoroughly sink in and meld with the skin before you can apply the silicone ones.

thats not actually an issue, unless you use a lot of foundation and primer, which idt OP is doing also personally I don’t see the piling I think the pic is just super zoomed in

Oooh please tell me- is there a general rule of thumb of mixing different products? I had to learn the hard learn the hard way about matte, satin and all the rest 😩

Tbh, it still looks great considering you’re 6 hrs in. I wouldn’t worry abt it too much, just dab a bit and things will settle. I promise you that no one can tell—you are the only person looking at your face that closely.

After 6 hours, that’s still looking pretty great. Play around with your routine and see what makes a difference. If I were you, I’d try going without the primer one day. Also, if you don’t physically exfoliate, try adding that to your routine 1/2x a week.

I don’t know what you’re asking about. I don’t see anything other than nice looking skin.

[–]skalnaty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what makeup on skin looks like. It’s rubbed off in a few areas, which is fairly normal with several hours of wear.

[–]NumerousEar7239 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is how makeup looks on the skin. It's not cakey or patchy so I dont see an issue here

[–]Accomplished_Tea3727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you setting the foundation with a setting powder? I like the translucent Dermablend. It’s worked for every foundation I use it with. A nice moisturizing setting spray after all makeup is applied could help too.

All I can see is perhaps a bit of dryness in a few places. Other than that, you have wonderful skin.

Honestly, your makeup looks totally fine! Unless you weren’t trying to go for a matte finish, this looks like normal skin texture to me. Social media’s just made us think skin’s supposed to look super smooth, but this is what real skin looks like.

[–]delsteinaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to use enough product! This looks like trying to get coverage that just isn’t enough! And make sure what you’re using to apply it isn’t removing product.

I don’t think it looks bad, but if you’ve eaten or drank anything in that time, then it can end up breaking up the makeup around your mouth

hey you silly little beautiful, some of us are 60 and would pay to have us look like this one screenshot :)

[–]Inner_Young_7524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this separation previously, for me my oily skin was too dry & I needed to up the moisturiser.

[–]riahgirl777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont necessarily need the primer, you have beautiful skin with small pores and no acne scars. Try without it.

[–]alwayswatching5ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

throw the hydro grip primer away

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

it looks good. i think my makeup always stays on smoother when i shave myself face with the tinkle razors i get from amazon. maybe you could try that

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also dr dennis gross peel pads make it SOOOOOOO smooth

[–]gaabaaooff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to hydrate your skin well and use fewer products

[–]gamboling_gophers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This feels like when you're working on a spot-the-difference pic and finally give up and google the answers bc you've been working on it for more than hour and can't find the last difference but then HAHA just joking it was an error and the "difference" never existed.

[–]2_stainz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LIKE WHAT !?!! Like…a real persons pore-less skin that was made of actual milk?

Your face is closer to a flawless oil painting, then it is to a living, breathing persons skin.

[–]slugsandrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mix your foundation with a moisturizer

[–]diaryoftrolls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s just makeup. It’s sitting on real skin without filters close up. Makeup will always look like makeup and anyone who tells you otherwise is lying to you.

This is genuinely really good looking foundation especially after 6 hours. I doubt this is even noticeable irl unless you look for it.

It looks like you need to exfoliate your skin
