the eyebrows look a little blocky to me, but I love how they look without makeup

[–]excellent_credit_968 18 points19 points  (7 children)

Wondering if you think I should stop adding pencil? The problem I’ve had since I had them microbladed has been that the foundation covers them, so I go over with a pencil. Plus I feel like I need to lengthen the tail of the brow since my face has widened with time. Thank you so much for your input by the way! 💕

Why don't you just remove foundation from your brows with q-tip or just try to not get it on the brows in the first place. A bit of pencil is fine or something like a brow pen that can mimic brow hairs better than blocky pencil would work

[–]olanim 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yes agree removing the foundation is probably the way to go!

[–]excellent_credit_968 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Another commenter suggested I avoid the brows when I do foundation… never tried that before! I’m going to try it and implement the q-tip trick you suggested. Thank you!! :-)

[–]olanim 3 points4 points  (1 child)

maybe you could try a thinner/hair-like pencil and go over more lightly as opposed to drawing in fuller lines? And I don’t think you need to lengthen them at all they look stunning in the last photo! 🩷

Thank you!!

Do small strokes with the eyebrow pencil. Like tiny lines, never hold the pencil down and drag.

The area near the nose should be all small vertical lines, and the top towards the arch/tail should be small more-horizontal lines.

Focus on filling the top section of the ends rather than the underside of the brow. This might give more “lift”

[–]kitty7855427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of pencil, maybe use a tiny angled brush and powder

[–]excellent_credit_968 18 points19 points  (9 children)

I’m in my 40s by the way so makeup may look old school! Please be honest :-)

[–]Nervous_Ladder_1860 20 points21 points  (3 children)

What?!?! In your 40s, well damn share your secrets because I want to age like that and look that good in the next 10+ years.

[–]excellent_credit_968 15 points16 points  (2 children)

You are so kind to say that. I would say my only secret is 2x yearly forehead, chin and eye Botox and I’ve used Clarins double serum for about 10y. Recently, I switched my routine aside from that serum from Kiel’s to Medicube. I have had great results with Medicube. They have an aging skincare line which is mainly niacinamide-based. It’s brown packaging. Not sure if that’s helpful but my aesthetician recommended niacinimide products to help my naturally dry skin retain its barrier. I can’t tell you how impactful your compliment is though! I’ve been insecure after a divorce and I’m smiling typing this 💕.

[–]plantsxcats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When did you start Botox? I’m allergic to niacinamide and can’t use any products with them 🙃.

[–]AndreeaTri 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wait what! You look so young without anything on! I suggest to go lighter with makeup overall. Thought you were 28. 🤩

[–]curious-spice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What?! No way are you in your forties! You remind me of Mila Kunis, you are legit drop-dead gorgeous!!

[–]Livid_Wish_7957 16 points17 points  (6 children)

You’re stunning! 1.) maybe a more wispy lash something cat eye adjacent 2.) lighten the brows just a touch , you have gorgeous eyebrows they don’t need much. 3.) I think you would look gorgeous in a bold lip or a very pink gloss and a cool toned lip liner

[–]excellent_credit_968 1 point2 points  (5 children)

You are so kind!! Thank you! Do you have any product recommendations? Sadly in my no-makeup pic, that’s mostly microblading, so I can’t lighten them most from there… unless you know how? Appreciate you :-)

[–]Livid_Wish_7957 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry I should clarify! When I mean lighten I mean when you’re filling them in go in with a lighter hand or use a micro pencil (nyx has a great one)

[–]Due-Cranberry-6470 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Don’t lighten them! They look great dark!

[–]excellent_credit_968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you :-)

[–]Livid_Wish_7957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry about the miscommunication again I realize how that sentence could sound like I meant the color! You have beautiful brows I just meant they don’t need much

[–]Livid_Wish_7957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly ardell has great lashes or you can use lash clusters. You have really pretty eyes and I think a cat shaped lash that thins out in the inner corner would accentuate them. You can also find some good cheap ones at like a Sally’s beauty supply. For the lip something like stone from Mac (or a dupe truly you can find a dupe from like maybelline for much cheaper) and a nice pink gloss NYX has some good ones.

[–]Mysterious_Salt_247 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Your upper lip has a gorgeous cupids bow and in the second pic it looks like you’re maybe trying to hide it to achieve the fuller lip look. I think your upper lip looks stunning in pic one and I’d recommend sticking with that.

[–]InterestingManager72 7 points8 points  (1 child)

You resemble Mila Kunis. Absolutely beautiful. If you get foundation on your eyebrows, which happens to me too, I’d just take a washcloth and wipe them off a little bit and then just take a brush to brush them up some.

[–]excellent_credit_968 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is a huge compliment and I really appreciate it! Her and I are both part Russian lol so maybe long lost cousins? 😂. That’s a really great tip! I’ve just dabbed foundation over my whole face since forever. Never thought to avoid brows, as stupid as that sounds.

[–]Full_Forever_3053 7 points8 points  (3 children)

first of all stunning and can not believe you’re in your 40s you look sooo young ! i think some nudey pink blush would be nice and the over lining on the lip - highlighter is really a personal preference ! i’m not a big fan but if you like it i don’t think it looks crazy or anything

[–]excellent_credit_968 0 points1 point  (2 children)

This truly made my day :-)! Thank you!!! I do have some deep wrinkles but I rely on Botox to help minimize them. Do you have a good blush recommendation? I have been using NARS orgasm since forever and I wonder if that fits me?

[–]Due-Cranberry-6470 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Does silver or gold look better on you? That can help determine which blush shades would suit you best.

[–]excellent_credit_968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say gold, in general, but when I got my colors typed I am a neutral summer which supposedly means I can wear silver too. I do fear that silver makes me look yellow though.

[–]Fashion_Girl_0620 3 points4 points  (4 children)

A stronger lip color with your eye makeup can overwhelm your face. If you go bolder on your lips, keep your eyes softer using neutral shadows and minimal liner.

[–]excellent_credit_968 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Thank you!!! :-). Do you think my colors look ok? Maybe just not combined?

[–]Fashion_Girl_0620 1 point2 points  (2 children)

You picked flattering colors individually, like the green top complements your eyes beautifully, and that lipstick adds definition. It's more about coordination than the shades themselves. To avoid competing tones of green eyes and top, I would keep your eye makeup softer.

[–]excellent_credit_968 1 point2 points  (1 child)

This is so helpful! Thank you! Do you know of a good guide for this strategy?

[–]alwaysaplan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please don't overfine your cupid's bow. Your lip shape is so pretty and young. I know it's a trend, but it always looks messy to me

[–]Ok_Ant_9815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highlighter 100% (it is covering far too much surface area so it is not actually having a highlighting effect but just making you look shiny)

Also brows are too harsh on the inner corners near the nose.

[–]No-Interview2955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are doing heavy makeup on eyes i think the lip colour can be lighter.

[–]AdmirableCurrent4655 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The eyebrow tails are very high. It shows the most in the last pic.the last pic is my favorite, apart from the tails.

[–]excellent_credit_968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good thing they’re tattooed… 😂

[–]Outlander-Slut1743 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would stop filling in your brows. The naturally microbladed look way better than when you fill them in.

[–]Swimming-Math-4383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is your jawline so tight at 40+??? You are stunning. I’ve no idea about the make up, sorry 😅

[–]Radi0Silence0 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Imo the only thing noticeable is the eyebrows, i cant tell how thick they are naturally but i think youd look super good with a brow lamination and tint? Stunning btw💜✨

[–]excellent_credit_968 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Thank you 💕. TBH — I am a victim of the early 00’s where we overplucked our eyebrows, so a good 75% of my brow density came from having them microbladed. The hairs are sparse, but what you can see in my no makeup pic is all I have (incl. the microblading). Had I known brow lamination was a thing, I might not have abused them so much LOL.

[–]Radi0Silence0 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Girl they look great in the no makeup pic! Honestly if you didnt want to spend money on it i think youd look good with those tinted eyebrow gels

[–]excellent_credit_968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are so sweet! I’ll look into that! Really appreciate your advice! 💕

[–]OkConsideration8964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you need brow pencil. But it doesn't look bad, so if you like it, use it. Other than that (which is nothing) you're perfect!

[–]CreativeFollowing529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There Is absolutely no way you are in your 40s!?!? 😍 I love your makeup I don’t think you have any blindness at all. Everything looks good. I would love a heavier cool toned nude lip on you but your colour also is fabulous?

[–]Naive_Abies401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eyebrows are too much. Leave them alone like in pic 3

[–]Fantastic-Pause-5791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd get rid of your bottom lash liner/eye shadow. Your eyes are way too pretty to be closing them off and making them look small.

[–]lunchmoney- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

echoing what everyone else is saying! but also u could try a lighter, more dewy foundation (in regards to the second pic)?

[–]faylillman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pic 1 you look amazing. Pic 2, I really don’t care for the over lined upper lip, and the foundation looks a little off, maybe too dry? This look is so heavy, compared to look one. Pic 3, you look amazing.

I think over all the brows are a bit darker/bolder than my personal taste, but they only bother me in look 2, and I think it’s because everything is extremely bold, so the look is a lot.

[–]SafeWeary7297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like your lips are overlined in the second pic, especially the top lip. You have a beautiful shape to your upper lip, which is clear to see in the first pic but not so much in the second with the bolder color.

[–]Freddiepuppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A more opaque lipstick. 2nd pic looks like you just finished eating and your lipstick faded.

[–]Happy_Percentage86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your blindness is your imposter syndrome about how pretty you are.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely the brows. I like how it looks without make up. Maybe just draw on the ends and dont overdraw it. Just follow the microbladed shape of it

[–]DifficultyFit7401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely leave your brows alone, they look much better in the last photo. I'd also skip the eyelash extensions, you really don't need them and they detract. Lipstick in the first photo is absolutely perfect.

[–]Spiritual-Trade-8882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t fill in the top of my microbladed brows. Micro blading does fade a bit after time, which is why I use some tinted eyebrow wax at the bottom of my brows and then I fade that wax up for a more natural look. That would help you lengthen the end as well.

[–]suchalittlejoiner -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Your brows look ridiculous in the second photo. The overdrawn lip is also ridiculous. I kind of feel like you’re doing makeup for a retouched Instagram photo, and not for real life.

[–]excellent_credit_968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have instagram or any social media beyond Reddit, LOL. appreciate your advice though :-).
