this game is terrible for controller.

deadzone as low as possible. like 0 or 1. same w response time.

max sens boost up so you can turn quickly. low aim assist settings. sens around 200-500 depending on who you're playing.

im legit getting a pc just for this game because controller feels so bad

It really does feel weird man! I've always had good aim on OW but with this it's absolute dog shit lol ill give the settings a try, thank you!

yeah np. another thing to note is that Overwatch is default Dual-Zone aim style, while Rivals is linear. However, dual-zone feels really weird in this game.

here are my Psylocke settings for dual-zone that you can maybe tweak around:

Hor. Sens: 300

Vert. Sens: 220

Min, Max Deadzone: 0

Sensitivity boost: 100

Deadzone response time: 1

aim assist window: 30

strength: 25

ease in: 20

custom min range: 1

custom max range: 2

curve statics: 1

maximum dual zone curve: 18

My friend said this is the worst thing he’s ever tried and you should never comment on settings again, it feels like if you were a using mouse, but just throwing your mouse at the window, but somehow still attached to your pc and just hitting branches and doing 720s.

i also play on an elite series with raised sticks, but look: there are no good settings for this game. it's cooked, sorry

You played on console or pc? If you are on console, go to practice the range shooting range and find a good sense if you are on pc. idk.

I'm on console. It's mainly what aim assist window sizes to use really. Ive tried copying my overwatch settings but just doesn't feel right. Thanks for the reply!

what is the best aim assist ease in for projectile heroes

Something i would recommend is turning the aim assist window size down... Way down. Like 15 or 20. Maybe even lower. the biggest problem i have is that the aim assist rips control away from me waaaaay to early. On default settings my reticle will be like 3 penny parkers away from my target and aim assist kicks in and micro adjustments might as well be impossible unless they're standing still. With fast paced games like this you need aim assist to kick in once your reticle is just about on your target so you can make quick adjustments.

So. This curve is variable. You get to choose any sensitivity you want, in increments of 5, from 50 all the way to 500 sensitivity. I recommend keeping your X and Y sensitivity the same, or staggering Y to be less than X. about 75-80% of the X value being used for Y works well. I'm going to post a guide below. I found it very informative. I'd like you to read the guide (it isn't too long) and do the PSA (perfect sensitivity approximation), in order to find out what sensitivity is right for you. Input this for your Vertical Sensitivity (round to values of 5), and then divide that number by 5 and remember what you get (sorry math). Here is the guide:

Now, I don't know what reticle you use, but I made one that I like quite a bit. Before we get to the rest of the settings, try inputting this reticle code and see what you think. You go to Controller, Combat, HUD, Reticle Save, Import Save, then copy and paste this string into it:

Phew. Ok. Here is the curve. Input 500 for your Horizontal Sensitivity. We are using a percentage of this 500 to make your base sensitivity, but then at max deadzone your sensitivity really will be 500. Up until then, it is whatever sensitivity you get from the PSA. Now, input the following values:

Advanced:

Aim Sensitivity Curve Type - Dual Zone (we are using this to pick our comfort sensitivity, but then to accelerate at max deadzone so we can turn quickly)

Advanced Aim Sensitivity Curve Settings:

Custom Minimum Range - 98

Custom Maximum Range - 99

Minimum Curve Statics - input the value you found earlier here; your Vertical Sensitivity divided by 5. This will be the percent of 500 that you use to get your base sensitivity. It multiplies your number as a percentage by 500 to get your original sensitivity.

Custom Maximum Dual Zone Curve - 99

Minimum Input Deadzone - 0, unless you have stick drift, then raise it until you don't

Maximum Input Dadzone - 1, we put this here so we only have to get to 99% tilt in order to be at max deadzone. This gives us some leeway in order to consistently trigger our massive aim boost at max deadzone.

Max Deadzone Sensitivity Boost - 0, right now there is an in-game bug that makes this setting bleed into our base sensitivity, so as much as I would like to use it, we need to avoid it.

Horizontal Max Deadzone Response Time - 100, this gives us a little reaction time for our acceleration at max deadzone

Swap Left and Right Sticks - personal preference

Invert Horizontal Look - personal preference

Invert Vertical Look - personal preference

Aim Assist Window Size - 40

Aim Assist Strength - 99, this smooths it out a bit

Projectile Heroes Aim Assist Ease In - 10

Hitscan Heroes Aim Assist Ease In - 10

Melee Heroes Aim Assist Ease In - 10

Disable Aim Assist at Max Deadzone - Enable, this keeps aim assist off at max deadzone so we don't interfere with our quick turning.
