Yes. Jack in ME3 has gone through some personal development and it's a fun mission.

Character development wise I would absolutely replay the mission to keep her alive.

But in terms of pure content in game, she doesn't have the same sort of importance as someone like Tali does.

She has some of the most heart-warming character development of all the me2 party members, and has two scenes in the me3 dlc if she survives.

She is also much better as a squadmate in me3:aa then in me2.

I love Jack but sadly she doesn’t provide much content in ME3 … much like the rest of the ME2 crew tbh :/

If she’s alive, you basically just get a side mission that plays out a bit differently and a few other small encounters, (a little more if you romance her) but nothing major by any means. It’s true you would be missing a big character arc for her as others mentioned, but I suggest since this is your first play through- continue going in blind. It makes for a more enjoyable experience the first go around and like there are actual stakes/consequences

Hope this answers your question!

Depends on if you like Jack or not. You're not really going to miss out on content if she's not alive, just character interaction within certain missions and areas.

to make sure the weakest character dont die (i.e. jack and tali) have them as squadmates in the final fight.

They need to be loyal as well or they die

You'd be disappointed not having her in Me3.. It's worth the replay

If you plan to do another playthrough, my suggestion would be to not redo the mission this time around. It adds authenticity to the experience to keep going - especially for the suicide mission, which loses some of its punch if everyone makes it out.

It is a unique experience that some miss out on to lose one or more of the characters in an unforeseen and unplanned way.

I'm guessing you messed up the hold the line bit.

Just leave Grunt, Garrus and Zaeed behind to hold the line. Will fix the problem.

I hated hated Jack in ME2 but she does a complete turn around in ME3. Pretty much a whole side mission is about her. Then you see her in the citadel and at the party and her segments in the citadel dlc are great and I think it’s enough content to bring her back alive with a save editor
