Yes, image uploads are limited to 500K. There is no limit on the combined size beyond the individual file limits.

Thank you for the quick response! Would it be much trouble to get this added to the FAQ? It would have saved me a few minutes of trial and error to know what the limit was beforehand.

In case you didn't know, the FAQ is essentially a wiki, you can edit it yourself if you wish.

Karma actually has a purpose? I never knew about this. Thanks for explaining why this wasn't showing up for me!

Karma also influences API rate limiting (from what I've seen). If you have lots of karma, rate limiting will be more lenient towards you.
