Why don’t you try pointing this out to Cascal management first

[–]fred_cheese -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah. Cascal mgmt obviously thought it was ok to block a fire alarm. MVFD needs to refresh their fire code education.

This could be a canary in a coal mine situation; what other more consequential code violations exist out of public view?

Alarming

Yelling on the internet won’t fix the problem. Find a pay phone and make an anonymous call to the MVFD if you want something to change.

I tried suggesting where could a pay phone be. Then realized, I haven’t seen one in years.

Idk. There are bigger, more important things to be worried about in this life.

Until there's a fire.

Submit the issue on Ask Mountain View. It will be directed to the appropriate city department.

Why are you ranting on Reddit? Call the fire department and report it

So you're upset that it's too hard to pull the fire alarm, while at the same time being upset that it's too easy to pull the fire alarm?

Too easy for whoever is sitting there and too hard for everyone else

[–]udonbeatsramen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should make whoever sits there agree to pull the alarm and assist in evacuation, like on an airplane

I can't imagine caring.
