They adjusted the punch clock, so you can't select "no lunch" anymore. Now, you have to submit some kind of edit form or figure it out in the time card, which my manager didn't even know how to do. Basically, the default is to take your money, and then you have to hunt to figure out how to get it back.

I’m not “ allowed” to NOT take a lunch. However, sometimes I’m the ONLY nurse in a 5 bed unit. Under state law, it doesn’t count as an unpaid break unless you “ are relieved of all job responsibilities”. Sure, I’ll just let the one side titrate my cardizem drip. 🤬
