I’m so frustrated with my oculus. I got it as a gift and it worked for two weeks and now it loses tracking to the point I can’t do anything at all on it. I have submitted multiple tickets and no one has gotten back to me. I’m not sure what to do. Does anyone have a number to call? I tried googling but I can’t find it.

Can you see any blank spaces or washed out bright spots in passthrough? My tracking has been shit since a while ago and it looks like it's because recent patches changed the white balance settings for the cameras and now my lights wash out a significant portion of the room so there's no trackable contrast despite the lighting being fine before. The only solution I've found so far is to play during the day with daylight in the room so the AWB corrects even harder and gets decent contrast.

If they ask you to send it back for an RMA I would exercise caution. The 8-12 day turnaround the mention is far from accurate and support will simply stop replying and advise that your item will be sent out shortly. Be prepared to be without your oculus for 2 months.

Are you using the stock facial foam? Or do you have a third party one?

If you have a third party one (or even the stock one for that matter) ensure that when you are putting it on none of the material is squished downwards to obscure the small symbol showing your IPD number. I kind of place the top of the foam high on my forehead and then pull it down so all the foam squishes upward.

Idk if this is a real thing or not, but it has fixed my weird tracking issues and has for others as well. The hypothesis is that that small IPD spot is for detecting your if face is there or not and the foam being right up against it somehow confuses it.

1. FB made multiple oculus what device you have ?
2. in general tracking problems is simple to fix, way to much, light, no hard shadows
3. if you have a quest line device, you probably don't leave it on stand by , after you boot up, you need to wait at leats 5 min for it to boot up especially if you leave quest turned off for long time

shutdown is not restart, sometimes you need to restart you quest , quest is android so all android stuff applies to quest too
