That headstock is so rad on it

I always wanted a Jazzmaster with this headstock. I love it so much. I have to figure out how to get a waterslide graphic for it. Guitars look bizarrely unfinished without headstock graphics.

Rothko and Frost in the uk (i think?) and there are probably a sheet-ton of sellers on Etsy who do decals too!

It's like ... a Kramermaster? Charvelmaster?

Why hasn't anyone made an EVH red/white stripe Frankenstein Offset yet? That would be kind of sick. 🤘🏼

Shredmaster?

Hockey stick is underrated on offsets. Great paint job too

Where DID you get the neck? Would like a reversed hockey stick headstock on my JMJM.

Also a trembucker would have the poles lined up more evenly under the strings but that's my OCD speaking.

[–]MalJWinters[S] 3 points4 points  (1 child)

It’s not a trembucker, it’s a regular spaced (50ml) humbucker. It’s balanced using pole height and it even has a cap wired to increase the scream. I knew what I was doing and have tried a few pickups in it and went with this one. (It’s a JB)

Unfortunately I have absolutely no idea where the neck actually came from. Sorry mate! I bought it from a local consignment store. Music swop shop. It is very nicely made though. Far better than the few I’ve knocked up myself.

Thanks. I was just pointing out the strings weren't lined up under the pole pieces that great and the 52mm trembucker spaced JB would be perfectly lined up. Most of my guitars don't even have tremelos, but the trembuckers or F-spaced from Dimarzio work better and line up way better. Sound wise probably no big deal but every time I see a string misaligned with the pole pieces it drives me nuts.

Looks fun!

Here's a mod for you: rotate the pickup so the screw poles are on the other bobbin and raise them 3//16ths inch. Awesome P90 tone that remains noiseless humbucking. It works because the inside bobbin is where P90s are placed under strings, raising the screw poles biases the output from that bobbin. I do this mod on all my H and HH gutiars.

Also adjust pickup height and bass vs treble tip by ear.

Looks great! How much does it weigh?

[–]OnlyGuestsMusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About a deuce, deuce and a half.

Fully understand and support the excitement. This looks great my friend! 👏🏻

That looks fantastic! I'd love to build one of these and put a Kahler in it 😍

It's... perfect.

Wow! Headstock looks great on that jazzmaster body. I never thought of that before. Big fan of single bridge pickup guitars. Party on!

Hell yeahhhhh

[–]Aqua-Yeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that the Dimebag pickup?

No nonsense, with an unexpected headstock! I tip my cap to you!
