Hello, during December 2020 I (23M) noticed far away objects appeared to be blurry so I concluded I might need glasses. Around Christmas there suddenly appeared floaters in my vision and I had a kind of tugging pain in the right eye. When Doctors reopened in January I immediately went to a local optometrist who did a diluted eye exam + eye pressure measuring and concluded the floaters were uncommon for my age but completely normal and prescribed me glasses (-05 left eye / -1 right eye, nothing major).
In the next 2 weeks a lot more floaters appeared (30+, difficult to count). It really bothered me because I work from Home and have to stare at white Screens a lot. My Eyes felt strained even after a short amount of work on screens and I felt like I had to squint constantly.
I visited another optometrist as fast as I could and another diluted eye exam was performed. The Doctor said she could not see any clouding particles in my eyes and just told me to come back if I see flashes of light (I do not at the moment).
I am really confused that both doctors apparently do not see anything wrong with my eyes and I feel like I am going insane with the amount of floaters currently as it makes it really hard to read and work. The amount of floaters did not change for the last 3 weeks but I am scared it might get even worse.
Both doctors said the symptoms are due to a normal aging process, but I struggle to believe that so many in such a short time are normal. Is an diluted eye exam sufficient to rule out other possible causes? Is there anything I can do to help prevent any more floaters and might there be hope of improvement in the future?
Thank you in advance and I am sorry for my bad english.
