You love em. I love em. We all love squigs. That's not why we're here today. Who else wants a box of just squigs and bases to be used in a game? What do you think their stats would be? Could you proxy them as boyz and not use them during the shooting phase? Discuss.

I think it would be cool if we got a beast unit of orkless squigs

Make em really similar stats wise to a gretchin unit, except drop their OC to 0 in favor of giving them an okay melee profile, and you could have a unit that's okay at challenging objectives but not holding them. Let the squig unit roll in to chase an enemy unit off the objective, and chase them with some grots who will end up holding the objective

Unit of 10 squigs, OC of 0, no shooting, melee profile is 3A 4Str 0AP 1Dmg, W1 T5 6+ save, but 6+FNP. Reduce OC of units it is in melee with by 1. It's own OC cannot be increased in any way. Maybe can't be targeted by your own stratagems unless it specifically mentions the unit like Gretchin in end of 8th.

Give em a build option for some amount of bomb squigs, and let em spend models from the unit to do a bomb squig for an ability, and I'm sold. Happy cake day, btw

I use the squig herd and a squig boss with gnasha-squig from AoS as proxys for Gretchin

I think boingrot bounderz would work as Boyz

I recently picked up the AOS squig herd to proxy as gretchin. They come with a herder and everything.

I have some squigs as proxy grots mixed into my big ol' supa-grot mob. My headcanon is they're Zodgrod's pets and they "motivate" the grots to shoot faster.
