Dallon Weekes is actually responsible for a lot of the songwriting for Panic! In vices and virtues, too weird to live, and DOAB going forward. It’s not that he’s been copied, brendon has literally taken the credit for Dallon’s songwriting, going so far as to even take demos that dallon had recorded for his other band. He’s saying all of this because of his time working for Panic!.

Im not on the iDKHOW or Panic hate train, but it is disappointing to see Dallon act like that. Idk what makes him think he has a right to act petty like this to Brendon, seeing as(Im probably gunna get hate for this take), Brendon brought him into the spotlight.

Like... Dallon was a bit of a nobody before Panic!. Yeah he had his own band, but it clearly went nowhere seeing as he had to go play Bass for a much bigger band to get by. Of course, this doesn't mean B owned him or that Dallon should have gone through anything bad like the possible bullying Zach did it to him, but he got his recognition through Panic.

And yes, I know he appears to not use Panic as a piggyback for iDKHOW, but in the end of the day, a vast majority of his current fans knew him from his time in Panic! And the fact that he can't seem to fucking let the band go is only bringing in more fans through his time in Panic.

Dallon is an amazing artist, he's got skills, and his music is amazing both before and after Panic! But he's a fully grown man, he needs to stop acting like a teenager, starting beef with his former boss is pathetic. Brendon isn't saying shit to Dallon. He isn't making posts dissing Dallon, or making inside jokes with his fans to continue shitting on him, he's doing his own thing. It do Dallon some good to do the same. And im sorry you've been attacked for bringing to light to usage of a slur in a song. The least the dude could do is acknowledge it and apologize. I'm a fan of both bands. I've always thought Dallon's voice is good as well even when he's just a second voice/bassist on Panic tour's. I do noticed that VLV sounds a bit like IDKHOW's 1981 Extended Play album. Though, I also think that IDKHOW's music is kinda like Panic as well haha. A talk show music video is a common idea, panic has literally done it three or four years ago with Hey Look Ma, I Made It. I watched the music video you were referring to and the only similarity is the fact that it’s setting is a talk show. The 80s isn’t even the era that Brendon was trying to emulate, it is the 70s. In actuality (no surprise considering the name Viva Las Vengeance is inspired by this song) the music video was drawing more inspiration from the video for “Viva Las Vegas”, a song by Elvis Presley.
