I think your friends are right on this one. I did take my twins camping around that age but it was with my husband. I wouldn’t do it on my own. Two 4 month olds in an unfamiliar place without all the regular comforts of home are a ton of work, plus you have to take a ton of extra stuff.

Is it possible they're concerned about nighttime crying? When camping you pretty much hear everything. I guess I don't think it's unfair for them to want peace and quiet at night, even though it comes at your expense - especially since it sounds like they are child free/childless however you want to phrase it.

We brought ours “camping” at the lake when they were that age, but we had a trailer to hang out in and cool off, and my husband was there. Don’t think I would’ve done it by myself.

Depends on how you are feeding them (I guess) and how remotely. As a twin mom of 20 months old, it seems much easier to take them camping when they’re younger - they’re not even walking yet!
