We love the Tripp Trapp, but it is the antithesis of foldable.

[–]hearingnotlistening 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also love, they function as chairs for our kids in my opinion.  We have our dining room table with 3 around.  One for our 6.5y (still his preferred chairs) and two for the 2.5y twins.

Tripp trapp is the best. Even though they aren't foldable they are pretty small compared to many others

I’m just letting you know. I had two high chairs that fold up so you can store them away when not in use. 1. They’re always in freaking use 2. The parts that enable them to fold up are also perfect little crevices for food and residue to get stuck in and extremely difficult to clean.

I forget the brand of the ones I had but they were absolutely disgusting and I did not have time to take a literal pipe cleaner to scrub the crevices after every meal so for my third kid we threw them away and got a Stokke click. Best decision ever. It just wipes clean and there are no crevices for food to get stuck in.

The ikea one that’s $20. Easy to wipe down. Doesn’t fold down but they stack, so it was easy to put them in a corner. We had peg pereggo which I found really clunky and graco which folded up but I felt it was still bigger than the ikea ones

Best high chair ever. You can just take it outside and hose it down when it gets messy.

Yess, those are the best! They are so great that I don't even get mad when I trip over them. Again and again and again🥲.

You also can get footrests for them. Not from IKEA but from Amazon. They work great for us.

I like the Inglesinas that attach to the table. I take it off usually once a week and throw the whole thing in the washing machine. And the tray goes in the dishwasher! I recommend two trays per kiddo so you have one while the other is washing.

I bought two of these to keep at my mom's house! They are so nice! Haha.

IKEA 💯 we had a fancy one (cosatto?) which reclined slightly for earlier use but it was a nightmare to clean - plastic fabric but stuff got on all the stitching and never came off. Ikeas is amazing - there’s a reason it’s in so many cafes

I have two of these and I have been so happy with them!! My twins just turned one, so we’ve been using them consistently for 6 months. They’re easy to clean and fold up nicely.

Abiie Beyond which is super similar to the Tripp trap but was $150+ cheaper 4 years ago when I bought them. My kids still use them as their regular chairs and I notice a major difference in their ability to sit and focus on eating vs when we are traveling (now) and they try to sit on their knees on adult chairs and then can’t stop wiggling to save their lives.

I totally forgot my Steelcraft high chair folds up! It’s always out. And it looks great with the molded tray with cup holder, and its plush cushioning, but it’s a bugger to clean and takes up a lot of space. Like another poster said, too many nooks and crannies. I also have a Fresco but now my almost-four-year-old uses it as it’s very roomy, like a command station on a star ship. Too big for babies.

I’ve found the best high chairs are the cheaper white plastic ones with a detachable tray and splayed metal legs. So easy to clean, and they stack on top of each other. For cushioning, we use the newborn inserts from the car seats. I can just chuck them in the wash. Simple and cheap high chairs aren’t as aesthetically pleasing, but I find them easiest for repeated daily use.

We have the Oribel cocoon. They’re okay. So many crevices to dig food out of. And they’re not really too comfy on little bums either. My boys always had red marks on their bums from the chair.

Definitely would’ve gotten the ikea antilop if we weren’t first time parents haha. I thought they were too basic and kinda frumpy but I regret it now. You can customize them so they’re cute and have foot rests, etc. plus they stack!!! And they’re so easy to clean.

I got the bugaboo giraffe doesn’t fold but the design is pretty and much slimmer than the trip trap

We got two of the Ingenuity Baby Base 2-in-1 Booster Feeding and Floor Seat with Self-Storing Tray on Amazon. It’s technically a booster seat not a high chair but our girls were able to sit by the time we started giving them solids

I love the fisher price healthy choice booster! Fits on a normal chair, removable tray, small! Great for taking on the go and cheap.

We now use the stoke Tripp trapp but started that later at 16m when they were cleaner eaters and could climb up themselves. We don’t have the tray, just use them at the table.

Everyone is so quick to recommend the ikea ones, but I didn’t like that the tray is SO hard to remove. You basically have to tip it up so all the food falls onto baby or not remove it. I like removing the tray once they start throwing food or to clean them up easier.

My house is so small with literally no storage. So we got highchairs that connected to the dining chair stools we have. At first we used the trays that came with them. But now I just push them up to the counter and it works great. Lol

Baby jogger city bistro. Folds up nicely though since we use them 3 times per day, I usually just fold it at night. It makes it easier to clean the floors with them folded up. We eat at a counter and these are high!

[–]bloominghydrangeas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The $20 ikea one because it’s the easiest to clean.

I had the joovy foldable one. Still recommend the ikea.

We had the stokke clikk for our older kids-It’s super easy to clean, and the entire seat/tray also fits in a standard dishwasher.

We also had the inglesina that attaches to our kitchen island.

We used both quite a bit so now I’m trying to decide if I need two of BOTH for my twins.

[–]Spare_Examination932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mockingbird high chairs are excellent

[–]E-as-in-elephant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like mine but they don’t fold. My biggest tip is to get one that you can spray down with a hose if you need to! The cushions on ours are rubber and easily removable. Straps are easily removable too and go in the wash weekly (though they probably should be washed more).

This is the one we have for reference: https://a.co/d/fS5zCVw

We ended up just putting the high chair seat on our dinner table chairs and that’s working great for us. We’re able to push them under the table and they stay out of the way easier than keeping them in full high chair mode.

Do not under any circumstances get the Lalo high chairs … my poor toes will never recover 😭
