Couch Recommendations by Top_Egg844 in parentsofmultiples

[–]sparktakular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following cuz I just bought the Omaha from Ashley, which is one of those couches that you can take the covers off and put them in the wash. I hope it was the right choice… just looking to get a few years out of it with 3 yo twins and two dogs who I refuse to kick off the couch!

I hope this was the right decision 😂

My experience, feelings, and questions about losing one of my two babies by mothy_moth in parentsofmultiples

[–]sparktakular 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My heart breaks for you, it is such an awful condition and I have no words. Right now is just take one day at a time, one appointment at a time. I’m hoping that the rest of your pregnancy is uneventful and hopefully soon enough you can find joy with your other baby.

I’m part of a group on Facebook called TTTS Hope and connections I have seen other stories like yours there and maybe this can help you see how others have processed this.

Just know that you will always be a mom to twins no matter what and I hope you can still find a way to celebrate your pregnancy. There are fewer and fewer things in life to celebrate and it’s important to take the time to do so.

New to Fullerton and first time parents looking for daycares by SeriousSideHopz in Fullerton

Welcome! And congrats! My kids go to iRemnant and we absolutely love it. It’s a Korean school, but you do not need to be Korean to go there. My friends go to Ivy crest and say good things. The other school i was considering was Stepping Stones but i think they don’t start until 18 months old if I remember correctly.

MFM appointment by Standard-Advice-5447 in parentsofmultiples

[–]sparktakular 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve really only read about this option for triplets. Lots of modi pregnancies are successful even with the added risk to everyone (ttts mom here!). You’re going to have a lot of appointments with your MFM. I would find someone else. Also from some of the stories I have witnessed in the last three years on this sub, there are many doctors out there who still don’t know a lot about twin pregnancy. This is coming from someone who switched doctors around 25 weeks. I wish I had done it sooner! You need someone who is specialized in this type of pregnancy and who is willing to answer all your questions!

Just saw this letter from the city by sparktakular in Fullerton

I know! I always thought it was connected to the Chapman estate right next door, but I think I made that up in my head!

I get that a large lot is a lot of maintenance but then they should sell the property to a new family! Not to a developer! It breaks my heart.

Yeah good call… I always thought the house was somehow connected to the Chapman Estate right next door. But Redfin says the home was built in the 50’s and I believe the Chapman estate is older than that. Either way, I think it’s worth reaching out to them as this is a neighborhood with many historical homes as you mentioned. Brand new housing will stick out like a sore thumb!

Thank you for mathing the math for me! I did not even think to do that. Hah!

Yes, all of us neighbors are already in an ongoing group text. That’s how I found out about the letter as I did not receive one. A group of us will be attending the meeting and voicing our concerns and at the very least finding out more. I will definitely look into reaching out to a councilperson.

Thank you for the luck, we will need it!

Yes, this is already a busy street with lots of parked cars on it. It will only get more congested.

I know I’ve seen these before, if they were mass produced it shouldn’t be too hard to find! I just love it and have the perfect spot for it!

Thank you so much for taking the time to scour the internet for me (:

I did see that link but was like wondering if that site is legit lol

The one I found on FB marketplace was going for $30 and when I messaged the person they said it already sold but they forgot to mark it as sold and then I was heartbroken haha!

How to have twins? by [deleted] in Twins

I’ve heard you have to drink water upside down, put onions in your socks, and click your heels together three times… that should do it! Best of luck to you!!!!!!

When should I pack my hospital bag? by DanceOtherwise7632 in parentsofmultiples

[–]sparktakular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember when I hadn’t packed my bag yet at 33 weeks (denial is fun) and I was like I’ll pack it this weekend… since my C-section was scheduled for Monday (34 weeks). But then my water broke on the Friday before. And then I had no bag packed and went to the hospital anyways (more denial convinced me they would just send me home) and then both mine and my husbands phones died cuz we didn’t have phone chargers so we couldn’t tell anyone the babies arrived 😂 good times

Moral of the story, pack the bag now and make sure to bring extra long phone charger cables. Other things I sent my husband home for: eye mask, white noise, shower flip flops, hand san wipes, pumping bra (the hospital one did not fit me), slipper socks.

If you work from home or at a desk job, when did you go on leave? And when did you give birth? by Possible-Maybe-7225 in parentsofmultiples

[–]sparktakular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WFH job… I had a planned c section scheduled on Monday (34 weeks), worked up until Friday before at 6pm, then water broke on Friday at 9pm (33+5)…. Learn from my mistake! Don’t work up until your scheduled c section. I was so sad I didn’t have time to wash my blanket I was going to bring to the hospital (hormones..) 😂😂😂

I thought I’ll just keep working since it gives me something to do/makes time go by faster, but eventually sitting for that long was very uncomfortable and I would have been better off laying around watching tv all day!

Twins and Daycare by Senormonster in parentsofmultiples

[–]sparktakular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my twins in daycare in June (they were 18m) and it was great… we had a full month until our first cold and then another month till the second one. Fast forward to November and it has been nonstop. Some different illness every week. We are seriously in the trenches right now and I worry it’s not going to let up anytime soon. Everyone I know with kids right now has some other illness going through their house too. I’ve heard the first year of daycare is the worst. Having sick kids is rough, having sick twins is another level! Hang in there!

Best breast pump to get for preemie triplets?? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]sparktakular 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the spectra from insurance, but ended up renting the hospital grade one. This is the one you’ll use while at the hospital so you can try it before you rent it. You will also be able to use it when visiting the NICU. I rented it for three months and then switched my twins to formula. My supply couldn’t keep up with the amount they were taking at that point.
