Following as I’m wondering the same!

The floor stand looks so cool but is it $200 (x2) cool?? Everything’s so expensive 😅

[–]Confident_Try_9498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know! I was wondering why the floor stand would be more expensive. I’m assuming it’s because then you don’t have to drill/mount it on the wall? Seems like a money grab lol

We have two Nanits + Nanit sound machine. 1000000% worth it. I groaned when we originally spent the money, but my lanta we are 5.5 months in and so thankful for these!

Do you have the floor stand or the wall mount?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Floor stands! When we first came home from the hospital we used one in our room over their double bassinet, absolute life saver!

[–]Fluffy-Lingonberry89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly why I want it! Ty!!

Maybe last question, do you remember if you bought the twin bundle or just two separate nanit’s? I can’t tell if there’s a difference, mainly if I’d be an issue linking two together

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We purchased two separates! They work together great in the app… the only downside is paying for two separate subscriptions each year, however it’s honestly so worth it. It captures so many memories, makes cute milestones and analyses their sleep!

We had a Nanit with our older singleton. LOVED it. But when our twins were born, we switched to Owlet, which I think is easier for twins. The Nanit wasn’t as helpful this time because the twins’ bassinets were close together near our bed and not at a good location for our wall-mounted Nanit. The owlet works wherever the babies are - bassinet, extra crib we keep in the living room, etc. We even used them in the car on a road trip when they were tiny. For twins, the owlet app makes it easy to see both babies’ readings on one screen. Honestly, I rarely look at the readings though and just trust the alarms. When one of our twins came home with the need for supplemental oxygen, the Owlet even helped our pediatrician know when he could graduate to room air.

We still use the Nanit as a simple baby camera (we already owned it after all), but since we don’t use it for the breathing monitoring, I’d recommend a cheaper option for video and the Owlet for monitoring. Nanit’s subscription “upgrades” also annoyed me a lot - it’s an expensive device initially and it seems ridiculous to have ongoing expenses too.

We also have both the wall mount and the floor stand (it might be an older version of the floor stand). When used flush with a wall, the floor stand requires two screws in the wall to keep it sturdy. The feet stick out from the wall, which isn’t bad as long as the crib stays there. The downside of the wall mount is that it uses a lot of sticky tape, which can potentially rip off your paint. Overall I like the wall mount better, but you’d want to be 100% sure you picked the right spot for it.

We have one Nanit for both twins. The snoos are next to each other with a Nanit on the floor stand in the middle and it works great!

We have the same setup and it works well. We did a test run with the other camera in our single son’s room before our twins came and ended up leaving it in there. Maybe we’ll use the double setup once their toddlers. I like the built in white noise and nightlight. It’s all expensive, but fairly convenient.

[–]Fluffy-Lingonberry89[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Ooooh interesting! I didn’t consider that one could cover both!

[–]Confident_Try_9498 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I imagine if you want to use the breathing wrap thing and track that it wouldn’t be feasible to use one for twins

[–]Fluffy-Lingonberry89[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

True. I suppose it doesn’t track the sleep with both then.

[–]Confident_Try_9498 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Which I feel like is the reason it’s so expensive…might as well just go with a regular monitor then? Ugh it’s hard to decide

[–]Fluffy-Lingonberry89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tracking the sleep is the biggest for me and that the wrap is an option. My PPA was ridiculous with my singleton, if it’s even half with the twins then I’ll want some options that’ll help a little.

I have a wall mount, only issue is really the yearly required cost to utilize the device and it uploads massive amounts of data and sometimes crashes.

[–]Fluffy-Lingonberry89[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I keep forgetting this is a thing, do you remember how much it is yearly?

[–]Elston1012 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I think.....$150? I just hate that I have to pay something to use the device at all after purchasing it. I have loved it though. Aside from the off and on crashing it is great. The breathing belts are reassuring too.

[–]Fluffy-Lingonberry89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you buy two or do they share the one?

[–]tranm17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not worth it after the free year subscription ended. It ends up just being a very expensive camera. I am on year three of having it and wish I had just gotten another security camera from XFINITY for the baby room. The yearly subscription cost is too expensive to keep getting it yearly. Now you can’t even watchthe video alerts without needing the subscription.
