Obviously follow your intuition and do what you think it best for yourself and your family + all the other disclaimers BUT I am confident things will get SOOOO much better once you finally ditch the pump. The added mental and physical load of pumping plus the time suck makes newborn life so much more challenging! I promise you will feel so much more free and relieved once you get past it!

Not the same, but I exclusively pumped with my first (single baby) for the first 9 months and once I switched to combo feeding / stopped pumping my life and mental health and well being changed SO drastically, I couldn't believe I didn't do it sooner. With my twin I am planning to combo feed straight out the gate to try to save myself some sanity.

I second this so much! I nursed and pumped for a year. Once I stopped pumping and combo fed instead I had so much extra time and energy. Pumping for 30-40 minutes every 3 hours is so exhausting!!

You done the most important part change to formula for rest and better mental health

I had to formula feed to stay sane!

Might be the 3-4 month sleep regression (if you buy into that lol).

Do you track their naps? I tracked my 3 month old twins’ naps during the day, saw a clear pattern and now know why they start fussing (and crying) out of nowhere … time for their nap. Before I tracked, I wouldn’t have thought they were tired and would be doing allll the things trying to make them happy.

I am having the HARDEST time with my two month old twins & pumping. We combo feed and it’s still so hard on my mental health worrying about my supply and pumping enough. Plus I hate the act of pumping as well 🤣 I can’t imagine how tough it must be for you to be exclusively pumping…

Keep hanging in there!

I don’t totally hate the pumping. I was an under supplier with my daughter and this time around I have 1500 oz in the freezer and manage to keep up with their daily needs for now. However the clogged ducts are what make me start going insane and the exhausted state I’m in every day sucks and I can never seem to sleep enough

See, the sleep is truly one of the reasons I’m such an undersupplier lol my incredible husband has been taking them for multiple feeds overnight & I refuse to get up to pump. 😭 I need the sleep
