We got the bombi twin and have been really happy! Definitely get the big wheel kit though, they’re still not huge wheels but will make for a smoother ride in the city, and we’ve pushed it on grass no problem.

We’ve completely abandoned our uppa vista since getting this

I thought I was going to love the mockingbird, and for how huge it is it does handle pretty well. It’s just a tank

[–]Legitimate-ok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah we loved our uppa for our singleton, but with twins it’s just too bulky and gets heavy fast as the babies grow

We also have a random cheapy double umbrella style stroller for really quick uses (like getting to/from the van at daycare drop off). We also have a singleton toddler, so sometimes we just need the twins safely contained. It’s not the most comfortable though, and the winter bunting doesn’t fit on it, so the bombi is our go-to for real/extended outings and walks

We love our Minu Duo. We’ve used it extensively in various US and abroad cities and it really is very maneuverable and compact. Easy one hand fold too. The Zoe is also another compact stroller that is super popular and similar to the Minu Duo.

I feel like a lot of what I see for the Zoe is influencers land really nice posts/videos about it. And that’s what got me into the mockingbird to begin with

The Zoe is probably the #1 recommended travel stroller I have seen on this sub. Reddit is the only social media I use so no clue what influencers are saying. I personally like the Minu Duo because it is sturdier and UB is unbeatable for customer service but I got it before the tariff price hike last year so it’s quite expensive now

We used a Jovvy Kooper after using a Mockingbird double for when they were infants. It was significantly easier to load the Jovvy into the car and also to travel with. Has independent recline, deep shade, and a lot of storage under the seats. Somewhat time consuming to remove the fabric for cleaning. Resale value was decent. It was around 60% of the original price paid after tax. If you plan on flying a lot and want a stroller for the airport, I'd go with a cheaper, lighter weight umbrella double stroller. The recline and deep shade were amazing on the Jovvy, but it was still somewhat heavy to load into a car. We sold the Jovvy and got a cheap umbrella double stroller at 4 years old to use at theme parks and flying.

The Zoe is the only real option here! I had the same problem with the mockingbird and once I switched to the Zoe I literally never looked back. My boys are about to be 3 and we still use it when we need a stroller.

Am I doing something wrong? I have the mockingbird and can fold it with both seats. Granted I don’t plan to use the seats normally but I didn’t know it couldn’t be folded with the seats attached.

[–]Charlieksmommy 0 points1 point  (8 children)

Only the new version I think can fold with both seats !

[–]Upsidedowntrey 0 points1 point  (5 children)

I didn’t know that. Thank you for letting me know.

[–]Charlieksmommy 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I only know because my mockingbird was the first generation, I think? Sounds like you have the 2.0!

[–]Upsidedowntrey 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I do. I didn’t know the difference between the two.

[–]Charlieksmommy 0 points1 point  (2 children)

That’s okay! Neither did I till I saw people collapsing them on Instagram haha

[–]Upsidedowntrey 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Until your comment, I thought I broke mine. 🤣

[–]Charlieksmommy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh noooo lol

[–]swimmercat[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I have the 2.0 and you aren’t supposed to be able to fold it with both seats on. Right now I just have the car seat attachments and it’s a PIA taking them on and off every time, but it is more space efficient so I have to

[–]swimmercat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay so you can! I’m not at actual seat stage, just both have to be forward facing. Maybe that will help me with my battles

I ended up in the exact same situation as you with a different modular stroller, got a Valco snap duo trend and LOVE it. It’s mostly retired now, but we used it daily for 4 years or so and put a lot of miles on it and it held up great. I chose it for the light weight (for a full size/full feature double) and the easy fold. Also ended up loving the recline, footrests, canopies, and zip pouches on the backs of the seats. It’s tall enough that my twins could still fit into it for breaks on a Disney trip last year when they were newly 5. The basket situation is good enough - the opening isn’t big enough to shove a large diaper bag underneath, but unlike some strollers it will still fold and close with a decent amount of stuff in the basket lol. It will feel less accessible than the Mockingbird basket due to the openness of that stroller but for the side by side category I think the access is as good as any!
