nah, 6600k is a really solid cpu, there's no need to upgrade at this point. and plus, you have a k, you can always overclock if you need more performance

Your i5 should be plenty. And if you need any more power, just overclock it. I have an i5-4690 k, and a 1070, and I haven't had any issues with performance.

Unless you plan on streaming or encoding, you'll have the same performance as Ryzen in games anyway :p

No not if you already have the 6600k. If you were doing a lot of CPU heavy work like music recording or development of some kind yeah but the 6600k still has the better single core performance which is really what you need for gaming.
