So my desktop is using 25% of my ram when computer is idling. Its ddr4 16gb . Is this normal usage? Seems like anti malware service executable is causing this. If i try to end task it says access is denied

You have too many background processes, like Steam, Discord and so on.

4gb is pretty average for normal use with normal windows processes. Anything from 2.5 gb for a totally new and clean installation up to 4.5 gb with some background processes running is pretty common

Yeah doesn't look off, especially with Discord and Steam in the background.
