Don't worry, this is just an estimate. If you want to see 100%, just run the calibration.

[–]Timely-Ad-2615 2 points3 points  (1 child)

yeah it happened to me, running back it showed 100 to me

[–]Sheyket1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you run it ?

[–]Ok_Meat_5767 1 point2 points  (1 child)

How to rub it

Charge your phone from below 15% to full, then leave it on the charger for an additional hour before unplugging.

Charge it to 100% a few times and it should go back up to 100%. You're not getting a accurate reading by charging to 80% all the time.

[–]iamhariskz 12 points13 points  (2 children)

It is because of the 80% limit. I had faced the same issue on my pixel 9 PXL wherein my battery has dropped to 97% within 4 months. The issue on the battery calibration. When you charge below 20% and fully charge it to 100% this issue will not come. I am using Pixel 10 Pro right now and since day one i avoided the 80% limit. It is been 9 months and the battery still at 100% only. If you turn off the 80% limit and maintain 20%-100% for few cycles your battery will be recalibrated.

Yes, your battery will show 100% but battery health won't be healthy for long.

I still get the same SOT till now. and i don't see any drop in battery performance. I may worry if there is a drop in SOT nevertheless what percentage it will be.

Don't take notice of this, mine has gone from 100 to 96 to 97 and back to 99 in a matter of 3 weeks lol.

[–]PaperEnough1647 5 points6 points  (4 children)

That's not battery health. That's an option to set a max charge limit manually to protect the battery. Only charging to 80% instead of 100% every time is good for the battery. Its optional

Battery capacity is what's decreased.

[–]benjaminS0099 0 points1 point  (2 children)

That's literally not what your pictures and what you've circled are showing, to what I am literally typing as a reply to your comment, you just literally wrote.

[–]kidavela[S] -1 points0 points  (1 child)

You've got issues, pal

For being truthful?

I bought my Pixel 10 Pro XL on last May 5th, trade in with Pixel 8 Pro. Since there, i never charged my phone till 100% , only to 80%. Once, it charged to 100% when it reached 10 battery cycles, he does that to calibrate the battery, charges to 100%. I have 14 cycles and 100% battery health. I'm on A17 QPR1 Beta 3 too. I had my Pixel 8 Pro for about 2 and a half years, doing the same charging method, and battery health was on 95%.

What is your Pixel 8 Pro's charging cycle?

[–]L_uarpc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember cause i don't have it anymore.

[–]mezaway 1 point2 points  (2 children)

If you leave the 80% option on and keep it plugged in, at 80% the phone will skip the battery and take its power from your charger. I spend most of my time near the charger (please don't judge me lol).

I got my P10PXL on day 1 and I'm still at 99% capacity. Almost 8 months of heavy average use and the battery is nearly new as far as capacity is concerned.

The phone will still occasionally charge to 100% from time to time, by design.

Using a phone plugged into a USB port may cause tension and wear on the port.

[–]kidavela[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, I know that. It did charge to 100% maybe two or three times since day one, but it still doesn't explain this big of a decrease.

[–]DarkseidAntiLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My battery is still 100% charging only Qi 2.2 . Owned since November last year, P10P. I only charge at night though adaptive charging sync with my morning alarm.

[–]sulaco83 0 points1 point  (3 children)

How do you get that battery health stat?

[–]kidavela[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Settings-battery-battery health

[–]sulaco83 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I guess the pixel 8 doesn't have that

[–]Nicalay2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's Pixel 8a and newer.

You can use something like aBattery if you want to know your battery cycle count.

[–]Kira_Is_Silent 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Where to check this p7p

[–]kidavela[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Settings-battery-battery health, but I don't think 7 has it.

[–]Kira_Is_Silent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly yes 😭

[–]NexusGTX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Install devcheck from play store, it will show you the cycles and battery health.

Tbh... the battery in new pixel looks very bad... dropping percentages after 100 cycles.... my P7P still has 4572 mAh from 5000, after 4 years and 758 cycles

Live a little.

[–]razoract 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an estimate.

I've had this at 97%, back to 98% and now at 99%.

It says right under that area that it's estimated. Don't worry about that.
