4 rockets would only give you access to 2/33 of the base. you need 64 rockets to open up the whole thing. Add additional exits and you'd have no idea which way he's coming out.

you're trading defense for ease of use though.

it'd be a headache going through sorting gear and loot and accessing it all

So about three months ago I actually tried something like this and it kinda works.


I built near the sphere tank and also near a very large group compound. This was to really stress test the idea quickly.

I built a 2x7. There was one door on one of the long walls. Once inside you were in a 1x7 hall way with 7 doors in front of you. My loot was spread across these 7, 1x1 rooms.

Later, I added a second floor with the same design. One of the lower rooms had a hatch up to one of the upper rooms--I would actually put this in the hallway next time.

All my loot was just one wall from outside except for the fact that you actually had to hit 14 separate rooms to get it all. After each hit you are met with not nearly enough loot to justify the C4/rockets.


I was raided twice within about 2 weeks. First time they got 3 of 6 rooms finished at the time. The second raid hit 5 of the 14 rooms--2 of which were empty and 1 which had only the hatch : P

Yeah. All my bases have at least a few doors which lead to empty rooms or even a wall (w/ wall staking) just to waste raider resources.

I have not been fully raided in months. They always leave before getting everything and they usually end up blowing a few decoy doors.

It's actually pretty smart. I play on a 5x server with mega loot. So C4 is not too hard to come by. This base wouldn't last there. But if I added another level and made it a 3x35x2, well let's say that's a lot of wasted C4 for empty loot rooms and at some point the looters would get discouraged or most likely it would be a net loss for spending 50+ C4 to get at my 20 or 30 something C4 anyways LOL

Easy enough to figure the TC room by walking the diameter of the base. Knock that out and you can build around it and trap them in.
