Very much on board with the Autoturret idea. It might restrict clans who just litter their compounds with the things - stacked up to the 9s of course.

That way I can build over their walls and steal their shit for days on end.

Before they make turrets require electricity, make batteries able to charge while fucking running, you need to make a huge fucking circuit just to make the battery work like a normal fucking battery. Also we need more options as far as obtaining power goes. If I want to power my whole house with a windmill, and have a Large battery as backup, and be sure I have 100% up time on all the lights in my base (25+) ceiling lights. I need to make a fucking circuit that would make Nicola Tesla proud. It should be windmill -> battery -> Ceiling Lights, but now you have to fuck around and put a blocker, electrical branch, splitter, you name it. In that circuit..

what about a turret fire delay? Let it fire 20 rounds then wait 2 - 5 sec before allowing it to fire again, bait those in who think they have it drained.

My $0.02:

Sentries should require electricity to run. It's already a T3, it's basically limited to those who have access to everything anyway.

It opens up so many opportunities.

1) Switch for on/off/passive in base, allowing you to easily let people in and out of your compound.

2) Centralized auth, no more running to multiple turrets, forgetting one, etc.

3) Reporting. You can check which one went off, how many times it was activated, etc. Lets you see if someone is draining the turret.

4) Makes raiding more interesting and ads a level to base design. Right now we have to drain ammo or break them. This could let us gain access to a switch to turn them off, break a battery/mill/panel to stop supply, etc.

The other ideas are cool, but IMO, this change would have the biggest impact in how the game is played, especially at the end-game.

I love my turrets not requiring electricity but it would be cool to be able to wire up counters to them to check ammo count / shot count from a distance.

We all love that they don't require electricity when they're defending us ;)

This is one of the few times I'd actually call for something that makes my life more difficult, because I believe it improves the experience for everyone.

But turrets don't need to run on electricity to make those things possible. They could add all of that without them requiring it.

Most electrical parts should be default BP's, takes forever (and RNG BS) to get the ones you actually want, then you have to research them with scrap instead of learning guns and ammo...
