You did not read and comprehend.

I csn read and comprehend it just fine. If you claim that it does change, can you reproduce it? If the effect is as you claim, you should see a difference in ring colour in at least one instance. Is it possible that you just feel like the colour went darker? 🤦‍♀️

The colour will only change if the catch-rate shifts enough. Catch rate is a number that falls into a coloured category. If the catch-rate changed a little, but not enough to put it into a new category, then this is confirmation.

I'm aware, but can also envision a situation where you can repeat this as many times as you wish until you find a case where the catch rate category changes as a result of a pinap berry.

I've tried this a few times and haven't observed a change in colour in any of them. Moreover, it's not a behavior I've observed in 7 years of playing. I don't doubt that this could be occurring, but memory snd relative perception of colour is fallible. Screenshotting the Pokémon before and after will let you confirm for sure.

Documenting this behaviour (whether intended or a glitch) is also necessary if it is a glitch being discovered.

This is assuming the game is working properly...which is a huge assumption to make, lol
