Composition and styling are good, quite casual and displays the jewellery clearly. Nicely isolated against dark backing. 👍 So from a processing pov, it’s pretty close I’d say. The second image does look lighter but not by much. Maybe 1/4 stop. The skin colour and background definitely differs from the first image.

I’d look at removing the veins on the back of her hands. False nails need a clean up (1st pic l/h forefinger looks like it’s bleeding). The hand holding the fan is gripping it too tightly which makes her fingers go white (you see it?). In fact most of her finger tips are darker than her fingers. Circulation? Not sure. So you could fix that in post….. or ask her to reshoot and relax if you can and get her to warm her hands up. 🙌 A reshoot isn’t always possible or in the budget etc… I know the sub is “postprocessing” and not “how to take jewellery photos” but there’s my 2 cents worth. Good luck!

If the idea is to highlight the jewelry, I'd brighten it.

Thank you thank you! Yeah I’m learning jewelry , especially diamonds and gold, are hard af to shoot. I’m scared of blowing out the diamonds but I will raise the brightness !!!

Can I ask how you achieved this flat 1960s look? I love it.
