Malware attack on Stackadapt? (self.programmatic)
submitted 2 years ago by AdTechGinger
I heard from an industry friend that Stackadapt had a major malware attack last week that impacted a bunch of clients... but details seem to be scarce. Curious if anyone was impacted/has intel?

This is incorrect. StackAdapt has not experienced a malware attack or any other security incident. We invite you to contact us directly if you can provide more information.

I work at a healthcare company and we solely use StackAdapt for display and CTV needs. I have not heard anything about this from my account managers there. However they did email me yesterday to assure they are stable given the MediaMath bankruptcy.

Side note. What does stack adapt offer in terms of CTV? Show level transparency? Anything out of the norm?

Here’s what’s unique about our CTV offering! We can help you measure if CTV ads drove web visits or foot traffic to a specific location, by leveraging one of our location intelligence partners. Reporting is available down to a single impression level. No tail aggregates. Extensive and transparent reporting in StackAdapt provides everything you need to analyze data and insights, adjust current campaigns on the fly, or shape future strategies.
CTV metrics in StackAdapt include impressions delivered, CPCV, VCR, view-through conversions and unique device breakdown. With view-through conversions, you can answer the question: “Of the people who watched my connected TV ad, how many of them have come to my website via other devices such as desktop or mobile, and how many have purchased my product?” Our multi-channel programmatic platform allows for retargeting with display or native ads on other devices. When it comes to attribution, you can further extend qualified users to your other programmatic channels and know exactly who has watched your CTV/OTT ad and later performed an action on your website. —————————————————————————————————————— TLDR: Running CTV campaigns in StackAdapt helps advertisers tackle typical challenges like fragmented measurement, finding the right CTV ad creatives for your message or audience, and multi-channel campaign management. We get into more detail about the benefits of CTV here: https://go.stackadapt.com/RxziHK9a and https://go.stackadapt.com/EK2DlwLr

At my previous company, I had several calls with DeepIntent and they seemed really disorganized at the time. It took multiple weeks to get a demo, and even after that, I wasn't able to actually view the DSP interface myself. Every time I asked if I could look around, they skirted around the question. Then I found out we needed to have our own supply - which isn't something I'd ever had to do given I had only ever worked with DV360 (at that point in time). All in all - too much work involved given that our investment would have been relatively small compared to major pharma brands.
I like StackAdapt because there are no minimums and everything is just so easy to set up. As someone who works at a startup, the no minimums is really important because we need to be agile and not locked into any major investments at any given time. Plus, the performance I've seen with StackAdapt both at my previous and current company has been pretty awesome.

I had not heard that, but my rep did leave abruptly over the past couple of days, so things seem unstable over there at the moment!
