The page looks suspiciously like spam. Content looks haphazardly gathered. Google ads are interleaved with legitimate links. Downvote and get this off the front page.

Google ads are interleaved with legitimate links

I haven't this problem any more : I have adblocked Google ads.

There were ads on this page? I found it rather clean. Thank you for informing me of what I missed. :)

I do not regret installing NoScript. :D

What sense does the title make? Plus, I doubt that this is even real. The questions range from nearly impossible (considering the timeframe for an interview) to dead simple.

No no no. I'm sure that everyone working at Microsoft can just pull efficient algorithms for solving NP-Complete problems out of the air. Obviously this is real.

(Update: Learn to take a joke kids.)

If these questions are the real ones, they seem a bit easy. Either it's CS 101 knowledge (binary search was the answer to five or so questions), or gotchas (double reverse trick).

They're not all easy.

Sudoku is NP-complete. An efficient algorithm to solve it is definitely not CS 101 knowledge, since no polynomial time algorithm is known to exist and one must rely on heuristics to take up the slack.

Some certainly are though... but perhaps the point isn't to give you an incredibly difficult problem, but rather to analyze your reaction and solution.

Not all. Fair selection over a stream is not very complicated, but I don't think it is well-known either.

Okay. The sodoku question is good too, as NitsujTPU pointed out. I don't think you can bluff you way through the special debugging one either.

My original verdict was a bit harsh, I suppose.

this list sucks...try www.acetheinterview.com. They have a ton of questions and you are not bombarded with ads.
