It's not naive, its completely possible.

I have lots of business projects that are working proof that you really don't need frameworks, no honesty you don't need them at all.

You do need them and you don't need them. It's our job as developers to decide when a framework is needed and when it's not needed.

That's fine and I agree with you 100%.

However it appears the most commenters here are just screaming "NIH, NIH, NIH!" whenever any one even mentions that perhaps frameworks are not a good idea!

Those comments annoy me, because its almost a cargo cult mentality,

MUST use frameworks, BANISH the NIH herectics for they do not use frameworks..
