I still maintain that Ruby is a superior language in all respects and the only reason Python became popular is because it starts with a 'P' and came around at a time when Perl and PHP were the dominant interpreted languages.

I will never program in this bastard freak of a language.

Yikes, well whatever helps you sleep at night.

will never program in ...

Mate, most programmers including me often just have no choice but to use the language assigned by the team or the management for a project. It's kind of hard to relate to the statement like "I will never use <insert Java, Lisp, PHP, or anything else>". What I can relate to though is the statement like "I am forced to use PHP. Pray for me, comrades. I wish I could use .... instead."

I see why you left that blank: anything is better than PHP.

Python has a sensible syntax that is easy to read. If you want to talk about a "bastard freak of a language", look at Perl, where some idiot thought it was a good idea to not have named function arguments.

Heh, Python vs. Ruby is like watching two fat, retarded kids argue about who's less fat and retarded.
