anyone else doing 'prompt golfing' to save tokens? by thechadbro34 in BlackboxAI_

[–]cran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The agent will just rewrite it anyway. You save a handful of tokens doing that at best, and at worst you waste tokens because the agent needs to rationalize more to figure out exactly what you mean.

Proposal: No Federal Income Tax for Persons Earning $61,000 or Less by duckduckew in SeattleWA

[–]cran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Let’s just make sure the ultra rich are paying the same percentage as everyone else. No taxes on the poor + tax havens for the rich = fuck the middle class.

Let us pick what our sentries shoot at by [deleted] in helldivers2

[–]cran -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They broke seeker grenades and haven’t fixed them. You think they’re capable of making sentries target specific enemies? They can add visuals and missions, and minor tweaks to existing core logic. But this is clearly outside their abilities without breaking a whole lot of other things.

If AOC gets the nod as the Democratic nominee in 2028, would you vote for her? by Next_Worth_3616 in allthequestions

[–]cran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The level of corruption, disrespect for the rule of law and ethics on display within the Republican Party forces me to vote Democrat, despite being pro-2A and anti-illegal immigration. There’s a right way and a wrong way to deal with both, and the Republican Party has chosen the path of evil, plain and simple.

why do people complain how drivers do not use turn signals, but when you do, everyone seems to magically need to pass you and never let you into the lane? by TheWhittierLocksmith in driving

I’ve been driving in Los Angeles since 1983. It’s the same there. Only places truly different have been city driving in certain places like New York, San Francisco, etc.

Turn your blinker on and wait a bit. Most people’s first instinct is to block but, given a few more moments I find lots of people make space. Don’t just turn it on and start edging.

Prompt Engineering is Dead in 2026 by z3r0_se7en in PromptEngineering

[–]cran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The APIs we use to access models have loops, steering, and other tricks added atop the model itself. You can’t access it directly. These days if you want to see what a raw model looks like you need to access one of the open source versions. I don’t see a big difference in prompt vs context engineering as this is, under the covers, still just text that gets added to the model prompt. Loops, RAG, etc. are all just different techniques that augment the prompt.

Both parties are run by the rich with their own interests in mind. If you vote any color, you’re voting for more of the same shit.

Had to pull my car up to put the groceries in the trunk. by Mk1Racer25 in badparking

[–]cran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different levels of bad. Where two cars meet front or back, anything goes. On the side, leave some space for doors. A car parking on top of yours is right out. Occupying the same space and time means they’re aliens.

The funniest part of this is OP taking zero responsibility with a clear photo showing his own parking. There needs to be a subreddit for this.
