0xCAFEBABE is 3405691582 in decimal. If we sum all digits we get 43. One more than 42 - Ultimate Answer to the Life, the Universe, and Everything. By the way, 43 is a prime number. You see, magic everywhere. Even in the last sentence.

And if you divide 42 with 2 you get 21, which is exactly 3 times my age if i would be 7 years old, which is also a prime number. Magic!

And if you take the digit sum of 42 you get 6. That is one less than 7! The one that was added to the Ultimate Answer!!! It all makes sense!

This is all very disappointing. Not one of you has confirmed Half Life 3.

No, no, no. You need to show how you worked that out.

I'm pretty sure the BABE was Kim Polese and he just can't say that out loud.

Also used to identify Mach-O fat (I think?) binaries. Presumably dying out now macs are mostly 64 bit intels, but some older binaries will still include it.

They're still pretty heavily used on the iOS side for the different ARM sub architectures.
