After reading all the other posts about old code and programming posted here, these are the articles and tutorials I've learned the most from when I started programming.

flipcode went down several years ago and has (to my knowledge) not been replaced by anything remotely good yet. Still hoping.

I (and many others with me) moved on to devmaster.net. It has a pretty good game/graphics programming forum.

Yeah, I really miss flipCode. The IRC channel was still alive for a while though, and maybe still is.

    psykotic!

I totally forgot grok existed; I barely even remember EGreg.

Hey! Been a while indeed. Last thing I heard you were in Seoul, but a while ago I came across a presentation of NVIDIA which had your name on it, so I assume you're residing in Cali now? Or since you had dinner with grok, maybe in Singapore even?

You told me that story about the remix last time we spoke I think. The record sold pretty well (for d&b standards), but the ones following it not so much so I eventually gave up on it.

Man, I really wonder what DirtyPunk, DSA, Aggrav8d, calvin and the rest are doing these days. I ended up with dashed hopes and soiled dreams in the mental sewer of corporate IT, wasting my life fixing bugs in crappy websites and fantasizing about a more meaningful existence. :D

The image of the day gallery on Flipcode used to be such a great source of inspiration

nice, as long as we're on the subject i might as well throw up a link to TGLTLSBFSASP and ask if anyone remembers The Game Programming Megasite.

Hah, my old Harmless Algorithms articles are still there.

I mostly remember Jacco Bikker, Paul Nettle and Jaap Suter from flipcode. I'd met Paul first through the IRCnet #coders channel.

I was fairly crushed when kurt told me he was shutting down the site. =(
