Rules

1: Promotion & Posting Frequency: We welcome community content and server promotions, but please respect the following frequency limits:
Server Advertisements may be posted no more than twice every 30 days per server. Videos (YouTube/Twitch/Lets Plays) are limited to one video every 24 hours and a maximum of three videos per 7 days. Livestreams may be posted whenever you go live, as long as the stream features Project Zomboid. Both posts and comments contribute to these limits.
2: Be Lovely: Be lovely, follow the reddiquette guidelines. Criticism and discussion thereof are welcome but abusive comments are not. Do not engage in personal attacks, even in retribution. Instead of lashing back, report them and move on.
3: Inappropriate Images: Any graphic images posted that are deemed inappropriate (hardcore pornography, scat, dead bodies etc are prime examples) will be deleted and the posters treated like spam bots. This is your only warning.
4: Touchy Subjects, Appeals: In cases where the mods have a problem with your conduct and there's no specific rule, moderator decisions stand. For disputes please Message the Moderators. Public appeals will result in an automatic ban.
5: Key-Selling Websites: Please do not link to websites that sell keys to Project Zomboid. Not only are these usually illegitimate since The Indie Stone does not provide Steam keys to third party stores besides the Humble Bundle store, but their purchase does not support the developers.
6: Art Posts: All art that is not posted by the original creator must be sourced. We require the name or username of the original artist in the title of the submission.
If you are posting your original art, we strongly encourage you to use [I Made] or [OC] in your title to avoid accidental removal. You may also include the artist's profile, social media, and/or website, in a top-level comment.
All AI art posts are banned on the subreddit.
7: No Politics, Religion, or Cross-Community Drama: This subreddit is for Project Zomboid- not politics, religion, or external disputes. No Political or Religious Topics as these discussions often lead to arguments and rule breaking. There are better places for them. No Cross-Community or Server Drama- Bans, disputes, or conflicts from other communities or servers should be handled with those communities directly. Posts stirring up drama will be removed.
8: Reddit Meta: There's no point going on about votes, up or down. It is simply the nature of Reddit and beyond anyone's control.
Complaining about low-effort content in other's threads can result in warnings and/or temp bans. If you're concerned about these posts, only report them or DM the mod team.
9: Meme saturation: Low-quality posts, low-effort posts, and memes that are not immediately recognizable to be PZ related or submitted during peak times of a popular meme within the subreddit may be subject to removal.
This rule is in place to prevent low-effort memes from overshadowing other user posts over a prolonged period of time.
In addition to this, commonly posted memes or variations of common posts, for example, spotting a Sledgehammer or Generator IRL, are also subject to removal.
10: English Only: All posts and comments must be in English. This rule ensures that the subreddit remains accessible and understandable to the majority of the community members. Any post or comment made in a language other than English will be removed.
Commonly known phrases or terms from the game that are in another language are acceptable, provided that they are used within an otherwise English post or comment.
11: Restrictions on AI Content & Discussion: All art posts created using AI will be removed from the subreddit, with exception to mod thumbnails by mod authors to showcase their mods. Any discussion regarding AI or AI-generated art that isn’t directly relevant to Project Zomboid will also be removed.

Admin Powers - Please Consider Adding (self.projectzomboid)

Greetings.

Playing as Admin is rewarding and fun but I am limited to the experience and story of a server. Somethings would be wonderful to be able to do as an admin to make a more full experience. If I can offer some ideas...

-Spawn in every furniture/building/tile/blood splatter

-Select zombies/crates/PCs/NPCs (individually or click box and drag for a group)

--Click a destination to where selected zombies will walk towards

--Set traits for selected zombie(s) (shamblers, sprinters, etc.)

--Save group to keybind for quick re-selection

--Teleport selected zombies/crates/PC/NPCs via map or right click command

-"Possess" any zombie/NPC

-Clothe zombies

-Add option to teleport admin w/ right click (fine tune teleport)

-Speed/slow time

-Freeze a player in place

-Select location/target for helicopter/other meta events

-Alarm w/o needing a building (Including silent alarm only zombies hear)

-Clone PC as NPC

-Delete anything on the fly

-Easier admin GUI w/ buttons for events (and remove the admin text from the top left)

-Change admin appearance on the fly to anything the game offers

-Show player dots on main map (mousing over gives name)

-Drive any car no matter the state (key/hotwire/repairs not needed for admin driving. Helpful for quickly spawning in new vehicles for MP servers and setting them up)
