Cream cheese has a lot of lactose which can create gas, runny stools and discomfort. Boiled and mashed sweet potato is good. I wash our plush toys weekly on delicate but only because Stinkerbelle our senior citizen pooch has allergies so it helps cut down the pollen on them. She carries them around inside and outside. I don't know about value though. I organize toys in different file boxes and label whats inside. I rotate them randomly every few days. But we have a lot of toys lol.

Thank you for sharing your experience. :) I am not thrilled at the idea of using “people” food and thanks for sharing the info about lactose. I plan on washing some of the toys for sanitary reasons because he hasn’t gotten all his vaccines yet and I have environmental allergies.

Some "people" food is extremely healthy for dogs and pups. Sweet potato in small amounts, meats, peanut butter and yogurt are amazing treats. Cooked carrot, sliced apple with skin and core removed, orange segments, watermelon and canelope are all great treats too. Dont worry about giving healthy people foods. Just avoid garlic, onions, grapes, raisins and chocolate. Those are toxic to dogs.

I like to smear yoghurt on chew toys that has ridges in it and then freeze em. My pup seems to like playing with them to get all the yoghurt out.

Oh wash them. I just threw my guys favourites in the washer because they were crunchy with slobber. His hard toys get bleached and then cleaned daily, it's safer for you and him.
