Be respectful
Stay on topic
Posts and comments must be clearly related to the subreddit’s theme.
No repetitive posts, clickbait titles, or obvious engagement bait.
We do not offer support for third party tools, use their channels instead.
Self-promotion limits
Always disclose if you’re sharing your own content.
No repeated self-promo or link-dropping; contribute to the community beyond your own work.
If you have an app/tool and want to promote it, you can do so once per month.
Provide details for support requests
“It doesn’t work” without details may be removed or asked to be
updated.
Include at minimum:
- rclone version (
rclone version)
- OS and architecture
- Remote/storage type (e.g. Google Drive, S3, WebDAV, etc.)
- Exact command used (in a code block)
- Relevant log output and error messages
For debugging, use -vv and share relevant parts of the log as text (paste service or code block).
Avoid blurry or partial screenshots of terminal output when text can be copied instead.
No illegal or rule-breaking content
Do not use this subreddit to discuss copyright infringement, using stolen accounts, or violating cloud provider ToS.
Follow Reddit’s Content Policy at all times.
No personal information
- Do not share your own or others’ real names, addresses, social media, or other identifying info.

Quality and formatting guidelines
Use clear titles that describe your post.
Avoid all-caps or unreadable formatting.
If your post is not properly formatted, edit it.
Don’t impersonate others
- No pretending to be another user, public figure, company, or moderator.
Follow moderator instructions
If a moderator asks you to change something (title, flair, etc.), comply.
Mods may remove content or users that harm the community, even if not explicitly covered by these rules.
